Vampires 1 by Andrew Bevan Vampires Saturn in Scorpio transit my ascendant the other day. Having payed due caution in the traffic and on slippy roads I reached my destination in safety and slipped to ease in the comfort of an easy chair. Then my eyes raised to meet with "The Vampire". "The Vampire" - Edvard Munch Munch is a reknown Norwegain artist of international stature and some of you may recall his 'Scream' being auctioned to record prices in the US last year. I had been eyeing Saturn's approach to my ascendant and wondering what sensible precautions may be made, but then when an original 'Vampire' turned up I was taken completely by suprize. How appropriate and in agreement with the transit of the day. http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri Feb 15, 2013 11:08 pm
2 by irisalbus Hello Andrew, just wanted to add it is not time to drop the guard (or the garland of garlic) yet: Saturn turns retrograde at 11Sco31 (soon) and turns direct at 04Sco49 (in July), this year. Iris Quote Sat Feb 16, 2013 9:27 am
Re: Vampires 3 by GR Hi Andrew! I was able to see the Munch exhibit at MoMa a few weeks ago. His work is quite evocative and dark! Gabe Quote Sat Feb 16, 2013 9:41 pm
4 by james_m hey andrew - 1895 is the year the picture is said to be painted... that year saturn was in scorpio the whole year, doing a station at 0 scorpio in the summer, but remaining in scorpio for the whole year. looking at the day chart for munch - saturn in libra, while moon is in capricorn for the whole day no matter the time, and a good chance of it being in square to the saturn as well for much of the day. i looked at a day chart for Hans J?ger - a friend of munchs who was said to have an influence on munch and he also has the moon in capricorn, along with a mars in scorpio placements they both share.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edvard_Munch Quote Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:28 pm

Cool! Bye the way, Irisalbus, thanks regarding the tips on the garlic! http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:17 pm
6 by Andrew Bevan James, it looks as if Jupiter was in dualistic Gemini, too! Currently, Saturn is in Scorpio in sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. That might reckon for some sort of mutual reception, although I haven't made a custom of thinking that way with the outer planets. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:26 pm

8 by Andrew Bevan Robert Loius Stevenson, author of Dr. Jekell and Mr. Hyde, was born on Nov. 13. 1850. He had his natal Sun in Scorpio on the antiscia of the Moon's South Node in Aquarius. The Sun is in Scorpio with Mercury and Mars. Edvard Munch was born Dec. 12. 1863 and has his Mars in Scorpio, joined with the Moon's Node (or shall we call it the Dragon) within a degree of Mars in the chart of Stevenson. I am not sure where this thread should have been started, PD. Nativities and general techniques? I might have put it under traditional astrology by mistake. Please feel free to do the mutual reception thing and move it from one place to another. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Feb 17, 2013 9:59 pm
9 by Andrew Bevan The syzygy preceeding the birth of Stevenson occurred on Nov 4. 1850 at 02.40 GMT with the luminaries at 11SC21. On February 13., the day to which my experience refers to, transit Saturn was 11SC30. I checked the syzygy prior to the birth of Munch. This happened on Dec.12 1863 at 20.25 GMT. The luminaries are located 18SG21. That's odd. Apart from the antiscia I have heard of no rule regarding mirroring the positions of planets across the boundaries of signs, yet if the syzygy of Munch was 'parallelled' in Scorpio the position would be 11SC39... The Lord of the Stevenson syzygy is Mars located 18?52' Scorpio. The Lord of the Munch syzygy is Jupiter in 16?23' Scorpio. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Feb 18, 2013 7:56 am
10 by Andrew Bevan Adding to the issue of transit Saturn landing on my ascendant, I might mention I was served a chicken leg on Thursday 14th that must have been over date and definately off! Edvard Munch: "The Scream" Back to Munch. I don't know what's going on but people were standing in cues several 100m's long and up for over 1,5 hours to get into the Munch museum yesterday, Feb. 17. Check it out: Aftenposten Does it relate to stationary Saturn? http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:41 am

12 by Andrew Bevan Saturn's station in Scorpio is a major topic here - being it's first station. Regarding the issue of vampires, maybe the Yod consisting of Scorpio, Capricorn and Gemini could be put into a meaningful context; Scorpio and Capricorn may represent a karma, condemnation, passion, need and suffering related to the underworld. Gemini is stuck in dualistism and the present. (Gemini's are commonly said to be able so sell ASH to the Devil). The opposite sign Sagittarius would imply freedom, forgiveness a release and the opportunity to move on in the longer journey and progress of the Soul. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Feb 18, 2013 3:04 pm
