I have just discovered a rather remarkable text : Johannes Angelus' astrolabium Planum The text contains a set of images, one for each of the 360 degrees of the zodiac. The first edition of the text (Link n. 1) has the symbols rather attractively illustrated.

From the English translation, the primary use of these symbols was to rectify nativities. However, given the striking, and sometimes alarming images (EG. 10 Aqu: "A man standing without a head") might/would they be used as an early modern form of the Sabian Symbols?

Do any astrologers use these symbols in their current practice, or know any other methods of their use, (EG. Horary/Electional) past or present?

The pdf in the above link is missing the first 9 pages of the book-- i.e. the title page, and all but the last page of "To the reader". Those pages are mostly a defence of astrology.

Happy you liked my blog post.
They are not "Sabian symbols", they are not channelled, but they are the images of some fixed stars, rising, culminating or at the other angles, but yes they were used in order to rectify nativities.
Engels published Abano's Medieval degrees, and they mostly come from Albumasar's decans of the Great Introduction.

where I try to summarize different possibilities of stars connected with the different images.
