hey guys,

i know this is an older topic, but i thought i'd reply anyway.

this is how i determine planetary hours:

1st i go here and determine sunrise and sunset time:

http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.html

then i basically convert the time indicated between sunrise & sunset into minutes, which i then divide by 12. sometimes the planetary hours are less than 60 minutes, sometimes more...you know it all depends.

then i list each hour out, starting with sunrise and adding the minutes to determine what's hour 1, what's hour 2...and so on.

for example, let's say for convenience's sake sunrise is at 6:30 am. then let's say the planetary hours have worked out to be 63 minutes for each hour. so then hour 1 is 6:30 am to 7:33 am. hopefully that makes sense.

incidentally, i'm assuming that we're working with day charts here. if youve got a night chart, you'll just have to use the sunset time of one day and the sunrise of the next. same process as described above.

after all this is determined, i go here to find the planetary hours:

or here:

i hope this helps all!
