If you are asking the question then your significator is the ruler of the 1st house.

Hi ascaries,

So if the astrologer always gives themselves the 7th house, what do they do for the other significator? For example, if the astrologer was asking a relationship question for themselves, would they put the person being asked about on the 1st house cusp?

Hello Ascaries,

Everyone has been taught in a different way, but the way I was taught was that the Astrologer does not have to appear in the horary anywhere.

When you read in Christian Astrology about the negative things happening in the 7th house maybe confusing the judgement of the Astrologer, it may be that William Lilly was very scared to give his clients bad news from the 7th house. Some of his clients may have been quite prominent and may have been a bit angry to hear from him that they had strong enemies with bad intentions. They may have even punished Lilly for his judgement.

So some of the considerations before judgement may have been a safety mechanism for him, so he didn't have to give bad news. For example, the Void of Course moon means 'matters go hardly on' and that means the answer to your question is basically 'no - not this time'.

By the way, I love your name - is it 'asc. = aries' or are you 'a scaries'? Or it could be both!! It's a nice play on words even if you didn't mean it.

About your answer...mmmm....ok, it could be this reason. But then, can't I never be querent about question of my live?...only when a consultant make me a question can I interpret a horary chart??...

Thumbs down Sad ...I rebel against this!!... crying

LOL...I prefer the anterior answer, hehehehe...

Hi ascaries,

I think there is a slight misunderstanding here. Of course you can ask your own questions. If you do, your significator will always be the ruler of the 1st house cusp.

Cheers
Sue

Yes, of course. I wasn't saying you can't be your own horary astrologer. Sorry for the confusion if I didn't make this clear.
