Hi
In western tradition the 3rd house is the house of siblings, even in ancient Greece.
Yet the Indians cal the 11th the house of elder siblings as the 1st is the 3rd from 11th.
Yet,I never heard anyone mentioning that on this or other western forums. In your experience do you find that 11th and its ruler reflects your relationship with elder siblings than the 3rd?

In my case the 11th ruler is in 8th(mars) but sibling is still alive at 55. But 8th house representing people doesn`t make much sense to me anyway. Using the quadrant system 11th ruler is at MC. But as an IT Systems analyst in a Bank, her position is good but not exactly a top position

Thanks

This is probably my fault for not having studied it enough, but I have never found that the houses, never mind their rulers, to have any significance regarding siblings, or parents or other people for that matter.

For me, Mercury seems to represent both siblings and your children, though giving birth itself is clearly the Moon but once children are there they are ruled by your Mercury.

And the Moon represents your mother and the Sun your father. I have no idea which houses are ascribed to mother and father.

Charts are interesting to look at for being able to clearly see important people in the querent's life, but I have always seen them as planets, not houses, and I never use house rulers though ymmv.
