Daylight Summer Time in Solar Fire 1 by Yair Alon Hi everyone! Does anyone know if there is a way to update the timezone table of places in Solar Fire? My Solar Fire has the correct changes for daylight summer time until 2010, but from there on I need to be careful and set the time by hand. It would be terrific if I could update this table with the times until 2010 to include future years. Best Regards! Yair Alon Kabbalist Quote Sun Nov 16, 2014 2:48 pm

If you have an older version, you can purchase the ACS Atlas from Astrolabe and connect it to Solar Fire. But I don't know the date of the latest version of ACS Atlas. Astrolabe can give you information on the Atlas. http://www.snowcrest.net/sunrise/LostZodiac.htm Quote Thu Nov 20, 2014 4:23 pm
4 by Andrew Bevan The trouble with Summertime is that the rules change all the time in different parts of the world and according to different criteria. In example Russia have decided to have Summertime all the year round. I also have an issue with an older Astrocalc program, but essentially is easy to go in and update the data file. http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:20 pm
5 by zoidsoft There is an open source time zone database known as the Olson time zone database which has about 500 subscribers watching the data. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tz_database It's managed by IANA now. Also: http://www.timeanddate.com is a good place to check zone info. Unfortunately time change history is not very well documented and there are lots of guesses.
