Mythical Animals in Traditional Astrological Texts?

1
Astrological texts often give associations for animals. I just wondered if anyone knew of any references to what we now know as mythological animals such as Unicorns, Dragons, Griffins etc?

I know this may seem a completely weird question to ask here but I assure you I do have a serious reason for asking this! It relates to some research I am doing on medieval Kingdoms which used such mythical animals in their heraldry.

Any references would be most welcome.

Thanks

For instance Lilly . . .

William Lilly, CA, p. 61 and 64:

"Of the Planet Jupiter, and his signification.

The Sheep, the Hart or Stag, the Doe, the Oxe, Elephant,
Dragon, Tygar, Unicorne, those Beasts which are Mild and
Gentle, and yet of great benefit to Mankind, are appropriate
to him."

Thanks Johannes,

Unicorns and Jupiter...I hadn't seen that coming!

I guess I had been thinking more of sign associations. With the Unicorns the link to maidens makes Virgo seems a logical association. I quite like the idea of a lunar association too but the tradition may offer no support for this.
