Football September 2013

Hello Sports Fans

Lets, see how a new month develops.

Four games over this extended weekend

Manchester United v Crystal Palace 14/9/13 12.45 BST
ASC 23SC03 MC 16Vi32 Moon 15Cp32 POF 16Pi37

Everton v Chelsea 14/9/13 17.30 BST
ASC 25Cp06 MC 00sa33 Moon 18Cp13 POF 21Ta18

Southampton v West Ham United 15/9/13 16.00 BST
ASC 05CP45 MC 10Sc44 Moon 01Aq45 POF 14Ta34

Swansea v Liverpool 16/9/13 BST 20.00
ASC 16Ar28 MC 06Cp32 Moon 18Aq37 POF 21Sc55

A 'mixed bag' has been served up, although Moon stays under Saturn's influence, moving closer to NN. Only one game sees a cadent Moon. The aspects are to an exalted benefic, a benefic in detriment, the Sun and, as usual, going VOC.

A couple of the games will be interesting to see how the end results manifest but perhaps it is time to stay with the favourites again!

Looking at the Man Utd v Crystal Palace game, the following seem relevant:

L1 (Mars) is weak with no essential dignity and in the 9th, while L7 (Venus) is in detriment, on the 12th cusp and disposed by L1. This seems to favour Man Utd.

However L1 is applying to trine Uranus, and I am not sure what to make of PoF almost exactly on the IC (in H4). I wonder if there might be an upset during the match favouring Crystal Palace, but Man Utd come out winners?

I'm going for Man Utd coming from behind to win (at odds of 8.4) :D

Thanks for responding GB. It would seem that the Uranus aspect was the Manchester United penalty for a foul outside of the penalty box!!

My average is now down to 56%, although the clues become apparent once the results are known! (Don't all astrologers know the astrology when looking back with hindsight??) The Everton game resonated with the Southampton/Man City game in February this year!

Rather than making this a blog detailing my attempts to assess these games with a different approach I'm minded to step back and post occasionally when interest surfaces on the Forum.

Norwegian Tippeliga , Friday September 27.

Sogndal - Stromsgodset,
19.00 CEST, 61N13, 07E06
Odds: 3.87 3.56 1.86
Asc 23PI31 MC 28SG51 Moon 10CN40 POF 29SG26
Day Venus, Hour Jupiter - radical by sign

The chart is radical, Fortuna is in the South, Mercury L7 casts a sextile to the Midheaven. I place my bet on the away team favourites.

I don't mind waiting and sorting out games until a few simple astrological testimonies come along and then going with these. But the odds have to be sensible, or there really is no point. If the away team is the favourite by odds and the Lord of the 7th is alone in possessing the Midheavan, i.e. by aspect, or the Lord of the 7th is a fortune and configures with Fortuna - then this is a reasonable testimony the the away team will win and at a decent price.

Well done: 0-5 win for Stromsgodset.

I am not sure about assigning significators when the away team is favourite. This result seems to support L7 as signifying the away team, rather than the underdog.

It is worth watching matches with the away team favourite to see if we can pin down this issue of away/underdog.

It might also be worth noting that the first four goals in this match occurred early: 8, 19, 22 and 26 minutes. The final goal was in stoppage time: 92 minute.

6
Ola Kamara scored a hat trick for Stromsgodset during the first 22 minutes of the match. Stromsgodset were favorites by odds and now take the lead in the Norwegian Elite league ahead of Rosenborg's match on Sunday. Sogndal struggle on the bottom half of the table. This gave reason to give Stromsgodset the favorite mark. A ?140 profit was collected! :)

There are several exciting games on Saturday, but keep things simple here is one that seems a good case;

Aalesund - Brann, 18.00 CEST, 62N28, 6E09
Odds: 1,85 3,50 4,05
Asc 22CP48 MC 15SG01 Moon 22CN03 POF 9SC10
Day Saturn, Hour Sun - Moon angular makes radical

This is a tighter game than on Friday, but Saturn is Lord of the ascendant in the degree of the Nodes and conjunct Fortuna. A home win for Aalesund is the bet at the odds of 1,85:1.

There is an interesting game between Tottenham and Chelsea today. Tottenham (Spurs) have been ruled by Saturn for years in my own personal notes. According to the same 'authority' Chelsea is Cancer. It is interesting that Tottenham is right at the top of the Premier League at this time with Saturn in the Dragons Head. When they clash with Chelsea today the Moon is in Cancer, offering an advantage to the guests.

I couldn't really tell which way this game will go, but it is an interesting case to watch. The picture below is from Spurs recent game with Aston Villa. Villa is represented by Venus, who is Lady of the Asc, located in the 16th degree of Scorpio and trying to get away from Saturn. But Saturn won't let Venus get away with nothing - and there is a slight Scorpio catch involved here, too. :)

Aalesund - Brann ended 0-0
One point to the home team, but that isn't good enough, realy.
A lot of strange results all over today - thinging of ManU-WestBrom 1-2 and Villa-ManC 3-2 in particular. The Sun hasn't really closed in on the square to Pluto yet. When the Sun is in ecact hard aspect with the outer planests we occasionally see disturbances in the overall picture.

My chips are down today. :(

Interesting observation Andrew. In the Premier League, perhaps we should look for an upset on Sunday from Sunderland (win or more likely draw) and on Monday for Newcastle to win or draw. The odds are very much against an upset, but we will see.

11
Well, I am upset about the Norwegian game. :(
I am trying anther one tomorrow, but don't feel like looking for outsiders at the moment. Successful gambling has to do with risk reduction.

Sunday, Tippeliga;

Sarpsborg08 - Rosenborg, 19.00 CEST
Odds: 4,00 3,55 1,85
Asc 18AR37 MC 4CP20 Moon 4LE31 POF 16AQ26
Day Sun, Hour Jupiter - radical by triplicity.

Radical by triplicity likes draws, but the Lord of the Hour aspects the ascendant - so I am going with the away team.

Sarpsborg08 opened the ball by scoring on a penalty in the first half, but then Rosenborg came back and scored two in the 72nd and 73rd minute. That puts me back up ?65 after yesterday's hiccup! Saturn doesn't seem to want to deliver full glory all the time. Maybe it was due to the significators being cadent. Oh well, we have to keep working on hard cases! 8)
