No, I don't think do, I've not been able to find a dedicated financial astrology forum anywhere in 7 years of looking. Here is as good as it gets.

ISBA ( which incorporated financial astrology into its business astrology membership) had a forum for members, but there were few posts and no real discussion. Not even sure if it still exists.

I think the problem is the low numbers of financial (western) astrologers ( lots of astrologers are interested and dabble but there aren't many who specialise). I can only think of a handful in Europe and maybe 8 in US.

I was hoping at one stage to get an email group together in UK, but ISBA sent me UK member contact details and there were so few I didn't bother in the end.

I'd love there to be more contact and discussion between financial astrologers but, for whatever reasons (proprietary info, time, apathy etc) it doesn't seen to happen.

This forum is 'Sport and Speculation', and the forum guidelines actually say:

"Although many of the discussions in this forum are about sport, discussion of astrology as applied to financial markets is also appropriate here and is very much encouraged. "

I suggest we start discussing financial astrology issues here; people can start new threads as appropriate. If we get a number of people participating, I'm sure a special forum could be set-up, but let's see if there is much interest first. :)

I actually think that financial astrology that relates to markets fits better as a subset of mundane as markets, in theory anyway, incorporate all the information relating to the economy, natural disasters, etc. concerned.

Pure gambling ( lottery numbers, casino activity, etc.) fits best with sport and speculation.

It is not even necessary to study the forum guidelines, if you only read the heading of this forum:

Sport and Speculation
For 'who wins?' and 'how to win financially?'

I think the best plan for the moment is to ask people to start Financial Astrology threads, on this forum, on whatever topic they want to discuss. We have a thread on Gold. If people want to post thoughts on Oil, start an Oil thread. Similarly Equity markets, FX markets, Bonds. Let's just see what interest there is.

It it becomes clear that there is a need for a dedicated Financial Astrology forum, we can see if that can be created, but there is no point creating one if there will be no posts in it!

Wow! this is best place? You could have fooled me!

ISBA?

Seems quite an elite group. I assume most people in the field have a background in the financial sector?

I would like to study financial astrology more. Not so much from a profit making motive. It just seems a very good way to put astrological ideas to the test.

Glad to hear an expert authority like yourself say this! Your certainly someone that understands this topic more intimately than anyone else I have encountered on Skyscript since I joined in 2005. My passion is mundane astrology and I have always regarded financial astrology as a sub-set of that.

Moreover, I have always felt financial astrology was an odd fit in the Sports forum although I understand the forum guidelines and the logic behind putting it here. My problem is most sport astrology doesn't interest me that much so I often forget to check in here. Still if we get into more financial issues I will try to contribute.

I suspect that regardless of forum location the real problem is the limited number of knowledgeable astrologers in this field and he even smaller number willing to share their ideas in public. I seem to recall encouraging more financial discussion in the mundane forum some years back but the response was muted to say the least.

Incidentally, could you suggest some good books or articles on the subject of financial astrology? How do you rate the ideas of W.D. Gann in practical terms?

I guess you need to build up a reliable data file of national charts, currency charts, and financial institutions such as National Banks, Federal Reserves, Stock Markets etc.

I can understand that. Especially if people have private clients or are doing well with a successful technique.

I am more interested in looking at national currencies than individual commodities straight away. So I will probably open a thread on that when time allows.
