Football July 2012

The advantage with summer games is that there is less going on and it is generally easier to find a one-off game with an individual starting time. There was a beautiful game in the Swedish Premier league (Allsvenskan) today, and the chart is worth showing:

Djurgaarden - G?teborg, 19.00 CEST, Stockholm
Odds: 2,75 3,20 2,50
Asc 5SG57 MC 16LI27 Moon 11CP05 POF 4GE54
Day Mars, Hour Venus - radical
Image
G?teborg are favourites by odds. The lord of the ascendant is joined with POF and the Lady of the Hour and L1 are in the same sign. The game ended 3-2 to Djurgaarden.

There is a game being played in the Norwegian 2nd division on Wednesday at 15.00 CEST, Molde, 62N44, 7E11, between Traeff and Skeid;

Traeff - Skeid, 15.00 CEST
Odds: 2,90 4,25 1,92
Asc 20LI42 MC 2LE50 Moon 23CP10 POF 0TA56
Day Mercury, Hour Venus - radical

Venus, LHr, is exact sextile her dispositor, Mercury, in the 10th - so I am inspecting whether this will be sufficient for the favourite. If the home team should win, then it is L1 in exact aspect to a planet in the 10th that takes advantage.

The Traeff - Skeid match ended 2-1 which gives testimony to Venus as L1. :)

It is possible that the match was too small for significance. The odds may have been wrong. I checked the division and the two teams were evenly matched. Skeid has strong traditions, but there is no reason why Traeff should have lost advantage of the home ground. Only 35 spectators were present, so only a handful of people related to the club would be likely to back the game.. :?

Andrew, there is not the least doubt at all that on this forum you are on your own way! And as to the Euro 2012 football event with double success over all other members, when my understanding of someone else in this forum and my own estimation is correct
Compared with the bounty of rules your judgements are considering those given by Frawly are quite cramped and thus for a beginner in this field of astrology easier to follow. The end open.

In horaries for me Lilly is the first reference.

Ukraina

Shakhtar Donetsk - Metalurg Donetsk,
18.00 GMT
Odds: 1,30 4,75 8,00
Asc 0AQ50 MC 29SC04 Moon 15AR15 POF 27LI13
Day Mars, Hour Saturn - radical by sign

The chart is radical. Saturn, L1, is in the same sign as POF and Mars, L10. The Asc and MC are joined by antiscia. POF is on the antiscia of Neptune. The latter could be a testimony for a draw, but Neptune is in the 1st house. Significators of the 7th are not fortified as I can see. Shakhtar should win as the odds suggest.

The match ended 2-0.

I collect a 30% interest on my placement.
Favorites work - as long as there is a good argument for their success! :)

Here is a cool chart 8) for a game played tomorrow, Wednesday, in Arctic Norway;

Adeccoligaen (1st division)
Alta - Strommen, 18.00 CEST - 69N55, 23E12
Odds: 1.84 3.48 3.76
Asc 17SC56 MC 14LI18 Moon 26AR16 POF 24LE27
Day Mercury, Hour Moon - radical by shared powers with sign, but sign of fall.

Backing the favourite in this game seems risky. I am wondering whether Strommen can capture all the points. Venus is Lady of both 7th and 10th, and is disposed by Mercury.
Mercury is in the same sign as POF, and casts his antiscia exactly to the Descendant.
Now I am by no means sure, but it seems like an interesting case. :sg

PS. According to Placidus it is the Hour of Jupiter. House systems vary significantly at extreme latitudes. In this case the Lord of the Hour is with the Lord of the 7th, giving preference to the guests.

Then in the Norwegian Premier League (Tippeligaen);
Odd Grenland - Valerenga , 19.00 CEST - 59N12, 9E35
Odds: 2.07 3.36 3.30
Asc 5SG45 MC 15LI51 Moon 26AR46 POF 12VI44
Day Mercury, Hour Saturn - radical by triplicity, JU and SA in Air

Jupiter, L1, is basically sitting on the descendant and should do it for the home team. However, Mercury, L7, is semi-sextile POF and there is that radicality by the mutual triplicity of LHr and L1 - so the draw is still a possibility. Mercury semi-sextile POF through signs of long ascension feels like insurance for the guests.

Radicality by triplicity is interesting. It often gives a clue to the draw, because 'triplicities share things around'. But I think I am applying the rule in flexible terms and occasionally still find advantage for the favourite. In this particular case, Saturn, LHr, may have a hold on things because he is elevated above Jupiter and exalted. Jupiter is angular, yet in his detriment. There is no saying how this will work out - but it is something to watch if we are going to learn new things about radicality and the importance of the Lord of the Hour.

Alta - Strommen 2-3 !

?20 on this game at the odds of 4:1 gave me a ?60 reward! :D :'

I decided to go for the single and not back Odd - Valerenga.

Odd-Valerenga 2-3 ! :,

Thank heavans I had got the sense to leave this one alone. Now Odd really wasted their chances in this match and had ball possesion 70% of the time. However, it's the goals that count and it might take some figuring out how Valerenga went home with 3 point this evening. Mercury semisextile POF through signs of long ascension? However, the numerous goals was not suprizing. I do think the chart sugested goals to both sides and was quite rich on testimonies. :?

All in all - another good evening for me.

One way of looking at Valerenga's 3-2 away victory over Odd is considering that the chart IS radical by triplicity. Saturn is in Air, so he is in his own triplicity. Jupiter and the descendant are in Gemini, so Saturn controls and gives virtue (recognition) to the 7th. In this way is is the 7th house of the guests that is fortified and not the 1st house of the home team.

This could be one way of looking at it and we should take this on to a future game. If the triplicity of the Lord of the Hour had not been on the 7th house, then the guests may not have benefited in this manner.

Here is an interesting game to watch on Thursday in the qualifying round to the European League:

Budapest Honv?d FC - KS Flamurtari, 18.30 GMT - 47N33, 19E03
Odds: 1,40 4,25 7,00
Asc 19CP55 MC 20SC09 Moon 9TA23 POF 8SC30
Day Jupiter, Hour Mercury - radical by powers asc+ruler

Well, things are looking up for the underdog. The Moon is less than 1 degree from the opposition of POF, but even more exact is Uranus inconunct POF. Look for the outsider? Mercury, LHr, is intercepted in the 7th. The interception can include a package of suprizes. The Sun, dispositor of Mercury, LHr, is on the 7th. Moon, L7 casts his antiscia to the same sign as Mercury, LHr. The angular Sun could do it for the favourite, but the Moon is cadent. It seems fair to put this game under scrutiny.
