Here is an update of research I have completed in the last two years

Physiognomy

Literature review

http://regulus-astrology.com/pdf/WP%20on%20Physiognomy%20-%20History%20and%20Sources%2020100420.pdf

Examples of the Leo rising decan

http://regulus-astrology.com/pdf/WP_on_Physiognomy-Empirical_Tests_of_the_Leo_Rising_Decan_20110718uly_18_2011.pdf

Victor of the Chart (oikodespotes, kurios, mubtazz)

Literature Review

http://regulus-astrology.com/pdf/Astrology_of_the_Soul_History_and_Sources_April_25_2012.pdf

Forty Example Horoscopes

http://regulus-astrology.com/victor_of_the_chart.html

Tests of the kurios of Antiochus/Porphry and the mubtazz of ibn Ezra

http://regulus-astrology.com/pdf/Victor_of_the_Chart.pdf

As acknowledged in the literature review on the victor, I wish again to thank Chris Brennan and Benjamin Dykes for editorial assistance.

The victor project is fairly extensive, easily a book-length effort with several hundred pages of reading material.

For those new to my work, many of the forty example horoscopes includes rectification details using the three step process proposed in my first book A Rectification Manual (2007).

In the next year or so, I plan on adding more examples to the data sample for both physiognomy and the victor.

Enjoy these papers! They are free!

I just took a quick look thanks so much! The paper on astrology and the soul especially addresses my current interests. I've become convinced that attention to ancient, medieval, and renaissance discussion of the soul is essential if a person is to practice an astrology that is useful, relevant, and meaningful. It's not too much of a stretch to say that when astrology experienced its little death in the 18th century an intellectual sophistication and ability to clearly navigate within such discussions died along with it. We were given an age of data before dreams.

Thanks for everybody's comments so far. As I said there is plenty of material here to chew through. What I hope to bring to the table are worked out examples of the methods for well known personalities whose lives offer a rich canvas for study.

For those who want to go deeper, I might suggest looking at some similar horoscopes - didn't have time to write these up - but for instance:

Jimmy Carter - Truman Capote (born within 24 hours)
Charlie Chaplin - Adolph Hitler - Ludwig Wittgenstein (similar horoscopes)
Ted Kennedy - Bonnie Lee Bakely (similar horoscopes)

Will write more on these comparisons in the future but some might be interested in looking at these on your own.

Varuna2 - one comment on Jupiter's rulership of metals. Tin seems the more consistent assignment for metals. As for Jupiter to silver, keep in mind Jupiter rules Cancer by exaltation and that Cancer is the sign consistently assigned to silver by all western authors that I am aware of.
