3 by Ruud66 Hello Pranab, The Ascendant is a measurement connected to the rotation of the earth. This means that you first need to calculate it from the vernal equinox. The vernal equinox is the crossing or connection point of the plane of rotation (the celestial equator) with the zodiacal plane. There is no other way than to calculate through the vernal equinox, which brings you to the tropical zodiac. Only then you can add the ayanamsa to arrive at the sidereal zodiac.
