Traditional delineations of planetary phases

1
Good evening,

Perhaps it is useful to open a specific thread on the subject of traditional delineations of planetary phases that has been touched in some other threads.

Two references to start:

Sections 486-488, pages 298-302 of The Book of Instruction in the Elements of the Art of Astrology by the poly-genius Abu'l-Rayhan Muhammad Ibn Ahmad AL-BIRUNI (born 4 September 973 CE) translated by Professor R. Ramsay White, published in 1934, replete with diagrams and tables. Noteworthy is that 2/3 of this 350-page book explain in detail the mathematical and astronomical underpinnings of astrology, 1/3 astrology as such. Al-Biruni was fluent in Sanskrit and lived several years in India where he studied Hindu astrology in depth. He frequently included Hindu astrological perspectives in separate paragraphs of this book.

A paper by the Italian scholar, founder of the astrological school 'Cielo e Terra', Dr. phil. Giuseppe Bezza, accessible via internet I settori degli epicicli nei giudizi (The Sectors of the Epicycles in Judgements).

Best regards,
