MC ruler opposing MC 1 by marsipan How would the MC ruler opposing MC in a natal chart be interpreted? In my case, it involves a Sagittarius Midheaven, conjunct Antares - Jupiter in Gemini Rx opposition. I'm not sure how to interpret it, so I'm looking for general interpretations. Comments are appreciated, thank you. Quote Thu Apr 28, 2011 8:56 pm
MC Ruler opposite MC 2 by Debbie In general I would say that there would be home vs career issues. Retrograde in general, I would think there would be communication issues. Quote Tue May 03, 2011 2:34 pm
3 by hervaro How about: Jupiter L10 is the job-potential; Jupiter in the 4th is the manifestation of that potential. So, what is realised/gained from job, benefits home and family. Or something like that. Herman http://www.hervaro.be Quote Wed May 04, 2011 5:00 pm
4 by marsipan Debbie, So it would potentially cause a conflict of MC and IC goals? I see how this makes sense, since its an opposition. About communication issues, how would this happen? hervaro, What does Jupiter L10 stand for? My Jupiter is in the 3rd house, but close to the IC. "What is realised/gained from the job, benefits home and family", I agree. Thank you both for your response I've been focusing on key words involved with whatever planet rules the MC, and thinking of how it could interact with this opposition. I'm also trying to find information about it and look for charts that have a similar dynamic, and learning how it works out. Quote Thu May 05, 2011 7:27 pm
5 by yuzuru Hi, Marsipan more than just the exile factor, a planet opposite a hylegical point will usually act against the best interest of the native, and it is worse if it is the ruler of the point. best regards Meu blog de astrologia (em portugues) http://yuzuru.wordpress.com My blog of astrology (in english) http://episthemologie.wordpress.com Quote Thu May 05, 2011 11:28 pm
6 by Yuriy That?s an interesting subject. First of all, if MC ruler sits in-between 3rd and 4th quadrants of the chart that shows the native?s later years, that period of time. And that?s indication of some career activities, perhaps most successful, because MS ruler is one of significators of the profession achievements. Moreover, 4th house also the indicator of own business (personal estate) if it?s in strong connections with MC and AC. What about that? Quote Fri May 06, 2011 3:23 am
7 by marsipan Hi Yuzuru, What is the exile factor? are there texts which also mention this? My Asc ruler conjuncts Moon and PoS in Sagittarius, 10th house. In some ways I relate to Jupiter, in other ways I don't. Yuriy, One of my goals is to have my own business, I didn't know the 4th house would be involved with that. So the themes of whatever planet is involved could be shown with the business? Thanks for the comments. Quote Fri May 06, 2011 4:56 am
M/C Ruler Opposing M/C. 8 by Julie K marzipan, As Jupiter is in his Sign if Detriment his strength could be weak. Jupiter cannot do what Mercury can. Maybe the career could be focused around and home and family? Working from home? Julie K Quote Fri May 06, 2011 10:25 am

That?s what the ruler of MC in 4th may indicate - own business, family business or just self employment from home office. Depending on strength of planet and it?s connections to AC, 7th house (clients). 10th house itself indicates the status out of home, in society, professional achievement in some office. But, in connection with 4th that office might become your own (4th ? own property). Quote Fri May 06, 2011 10:42 am
10 by yuzuru What is the exile factor? I meant detriment, exile, to be in the sign opposite the planet?s rulership. Meu blog de astrologia (em portugues) http://yuzuru.wordpress.com My blog of astrology (in english) http://episthemologie.wordpress.com Quote Fri May 06, 2011 12:22 pm
11 by Tanit The 4th/10th axis might also describe your upbringing, especially your relationship with your parents. I know a Jupiter in Virgo retro in the 4th and he idealizes his father but appears to have a bitter relationship with his mother. I think his parents are divorced. He also comes from a financially stable home where both parents had good professions and provided the best for him. Quote Fri May 06, 2011 2:23 pm
Ruler of M/C on I/C 12 by Julie K marzipan, The polarity is 'activated' - you may well have a home office as you do business from home. Perhaps your home is large enough to 'house' your buisness opportunities? Julie K Quote Sat May 07, 2011 10:55 am
