I've had an attempt at getting to grips with the Castle Beseigement method for this series.
From what I understand of the calculation process I have England to win!
We'll see soon enough. |

| Can you insert the chart you used John. I'm not sure what to use. I wouldn't mind giving castle besiegement a try as well! |

Paul,
The Chart I have is 25 November 2010 00.00 GMT, set for Brisbane.
This gave me 13 AQ 25 rising and 09 SCO 15 MC. |

John
Can you post in the chart, I can't seem to get it, probably cos it's 00:00 GMT but set in Brisbane.
Out of interest, should it not be set for the time the first game starts or something? Or does it not work that way? I'm clueless about all things sporting! |

I would use Frawley's method, favorite on ASC.
According to odds, Australia is favorite so they get 1st house ruler, Sa.
England get 7 house ruler, Su.
Acc dig for Sa=15 for Su=7, advantage for ASC team.
For cricket test Frawley suggest to look for Moon's aspect to the end of sign:square Sa, trine Ju, sextile POF... According to Frawley sextile with POF is final aspect and testimony for favorite win.
So, Australia will be winner. _________________ Greetings,

I didn't get the second test result correct with Castle Besiegement either!!
I looked up the method currently on the internet and it appears to differ from the original version I printed off ten years ago:-
If anyone else is familar with this method I have a Section 8.2 for the Holder which considers the ruler of the 7th house.
The current internet version does not contain this section.
I have contacted Astro Logos without a reply, as yet.
Does anyone have a view as to whether the original stage 8.2 should be removed or if this is an oversight on the current publication?
Thanks |

Hi Goca,
I've had no success on this Ashes series either.
I used Castle Besiegement and have got all four individual tests wrong!!
It is either I am misunderstanding the technique or I should not rely on this method. I'll think some more on this point |

Goco,
I'd like to say something about the method, even though this is an old topic. The Ashes is not an ordinary "us-versus-them" cricket game, 1st vs. the 7th house. The team that holds the urn with the ashes is like a boxing champion that holds the title. So they get the 10th house, and the challenger gets the 4th (regardless of who is favourite to win). So, if you are going to use Frawley's method, this is a chart of the type "will the king retain his crown?", not "will the favourites beat the underdogs". |
