UEFA Cup
Qualifying round, 15. July:
I will have a go at picking what looks like 3 'easy' games. Basically, I am trying to find one or two testimonies within focus and that point in the same direction. Nothing difficult - just looking for something that would support the bookmakers expectations at a decent price.

Olimpia Balti - Dinamo Bucuresti, 16.00 GMT 47N46 27E55
Odds: 5,50 3,30 1,53
Asc 23SG35 MC 23LI02 Moon 16VI27 POF 16AQ58
Day Jupiter Hour Venus - same powers as lord of asc
The Moon is inconjunct POF and the Sun is inconjunct athe asc, which could make for a long shot - but the Sun is in exact square with the MC and Venus, lady of the hour, rules the Midheaven. I therefore go with the favourite.

Kalmar FF - Dacia Chi?in?u, 17.30 GMT 56N40 16E22
Odds: 1,40 4,00 7,00
Asc 22SG18 MC 4SC35 Moon 17VI22 POF 16AQ32
Day Jupiter, Hour Venus - radical as above
Venus, lady of the hour, is sextile the MC. Mars, who is L10, casts his square to the asc. through signs of long ascension. I'm giving the home team a shot.

Dinamo Minsk - Sillam?e Kalev, 16.00 GMT 53N55 27E33
Odds: 1,28 4,35 10,00
Asc 16SG52 MC 22LI39 Moon 16VI27 POF 10AQ15
Day Jupiter, Hour Sun - radical by tripl.+ agreement of powers
the Sun, L.hr., is square the MC. The Moon casts her square to the asc through signs of long ascension. The odds suggest that Dinamo Minsk have the best starting position. I'm not predicting any suprizes.

Collected odds: 2,74:1

Olimpia Balti - Dinamo Bucuresti 0-2
Kalmar FF - Dacia Chi?in?u 0-0
Dinamo Minsk - Sillam?e Kalev 5-1

So the triplet fails. :(

Kalmar did not score. Maybe one should note that Lord of the MC was an infortune and square both asc and des. Venus, Lady of hour, was lady of the 4th house.

Bad luck, Andrew. Squares can often be tricky; difficult to know which way they're going to jump.

Interesting that the MC and IC rulers were reversed in the Kalmar chart.

I've given the Kalmar game more thought: It should be added that Venus, Lady of the hour, who also was L4, ASPECTED the Midheaven.

The above challenge should not have proven too difficult, but in view of that there were 3 possible outfalls (home, draw or away) in each match, the triplet represented 27 different combinations. Maybe the safer road is to go for the draw-no-bet alternatives (home, away). This would have been the way of Paul the Octupus, thus reducing the outfall of each match to 2 possibilities and the correct triplet would be finding the correct alternative of 8 possible combinations?

Yes, a square indeed is a tricky aspect. Some clues how it works may be derived if we attribute planets' rulership to the aspect.
For this we count along and against the order of signs beginning from 0 Aries. We find that 90 degrees fall on 0 Capricorn and 0 Cancer. From this we gather that a square is ruled by Saturn and Moon, Saturn and Moon also receives detriment, Mars exaltation and fall, Jupiter exaltation and fall.

Currently, I cannot give you a clear picture how so many contradictory indicators work together. May it be the meat for your reflection.

I noticed whenever you have two planets in aspect with the angles, in particular one fortune and other infortune, it is an indication for draw. Why? An infortune equally harms both ASC and DSC or MC and IC, but a fortune equally apportions good between ASC and DSC or MC and IC. So its tie.

As long as we are not tricking ourselves, then our observations should be taken to future situations and things will work out.

A football result could be selected/picked according to 6 criteria:
Home, Draw, Away, Favourite, Midfield & Underdog.

I am also wondering, if the FIFA change the rules and start to use electronical aids in the referee decisions, will this effect judgement? :???:
