Dow Jones melted away 1 by yuzuru I said that the dow was going down, and I have obviously NOT predicted such a big meltdown, but is always nice to be right, even if not with merit http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100506/ap_ ... all_street As the cause of such enormous fall was a glitch, one million astrologers whisper in silence all over the internet: "mercury retrograde!" In the graphic, you can see the enormous amount of price collapse in one day.... I was occupied in the computer and when I saw this I though "oh, gosh, my program is crazy again, and switched it off Meu blog de astrologia (em portugues) http://yuzuru.wordpress.com My blog of astrology (in english) http://episthemologie.wordpress.com Quote Thu May 06, 2010 8:47 pm

by mattG I heard on BBC radio 4 this morning that this remarkable fall was a another case of "fat finger syndrome". A single trader typed billion instead of million. Whatever the cause some lucky dealers made a fortune on it. Matt Quote Fri May 07, 2010 8:59 am
by amandaW This is a summary: Volume soared to twice its daily average for this year and was at its highest since October 2008 when financial markets seized up after the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. Some traders around the world were shaken from their beds and told to start trading amid the plunge as investors sought to stem losses in the rapid sell-off. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 347.80 points, or 3.20 percent, to 10,520.32. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 37.75 points, or 3.24 percent, to 1,128.15. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 82.65 points, or 3.44 percent, to 2,319.64. At 2:47 p.m. the selling peaked and indexes plummeted across the board with several falling to nearly zero. Nasdaq and NYSE's ARCA trading unit said they will cancel trades executed between 2:40 p.m. and 3 p.m. where a stock price rose or fell more than 60 percent from the last trade in that security at 2:40 p.m. Now that is Mercury retrograde at its best. Here is a tri-wheel of the Dow industrials for 2.40pm Other than the Mercury the key factors seem to be: In broad ( year or quarterly) terms: Neptune opposite the Dow Progressed Jupiter Prog Moon square Prog MC And the triggers for the week/day: Jupiter square the Dow Mercury Transiting Mars at 14 Leo (with Venus at 14 Libra, Node at 14 Cap, ) square the Dow Saturn at 14 Scorpio and for the moment Asc at 14 Virgo And MC at 12 Gemini conjoining the Dow Pluto (edited for chart time zone) Last edited by amandaW on Sat May 08, 2010 12:54 pm, edited 2 times in total. 5 by Mark Thanks Amelia, Great to have the Dow Jones foundation chart. Is 15:00 the actual time or is that worked out from rectification? Mark As thou conversest with the heavens, so instruct and inform thy minde according to the image of Divinity William Lilly Quote Sat May 08, 2010 10:48 am
by amandaW It is not rectified but... The Dow was based on the index at the close of trade on that day and close of trade during those years was 15.00. However I imagine actual last trades might not have been at exactly that time in those days so I view it as close but not 100% accurate. The angles and progressed angles do, however, work well when matched to events like 1929 etc. I realised after posting this that I had posted a chart with the wrong time zone. I've double checked that my original is right time zone and reposted. MC is 19 not 5. Quote Sat May 08, 2010 10:54 am
by yuzuru I heard on BBC radio 4 this morning that this remarkable fall was a another case of "fat finger syndrome". 8 by 3D Dow Jones Plunge Have you noted that the Uranus North Node was exactly on the MC when the plunge started? In the following minutes, the IC crossed the Uranus South Node, while the ASC made squares to the Nodes. http://bildupload.sro.at/p/349947.html The Uranus Node?s Principle according to Theodor Landscheidt is electromagnetic interaction, resonance linking, Radio and TV connection. This was written in 1976, so today we might add internet or intranet connection. So the cause is more probably a system failure, computer high speed trade or the like, than a ?fat finger?. The fat finger would rather be Neptune. Ren? Quote Sun May 09, 2010 8:27 am
