A Life Through The Signs

Every life passes through stages, short for some and longer for others, often over-lapping. Here are some clues to the progress of a life through the 12 astrology signs ...

ARIES represents the new-born child, when everything is new, a challenge ? it needs to find out how to use its hands and muscles ? it needs to be totally self-centred to survive ? it doesn?t know or accept rules, is totally honest ? it never gives up trying (remember learning to walk!) ...

TAURUS is when a child likes to spend time with things, using its senses ? looking at a blade of grass, smelling, listening to, touching, and finally tasting it, so as to know it thoroughly ? she or he will not want to be disturbed, and the shock of sudden changes may cause tantrums!

GEMINI comes and its talk time, chatter, chatter, chatter ? just like monkeys, and mischievous too ? lots of questions, why, why, why, often not even listening to the answer ? a testing time, and lots of humour and giggles, loving jokes, the sillier the better!

CANCER brings a feeling of vulnerability and so a need for security ? a child may want to stay at home, be shy with strangers and hang on to mummy?s skirts ? he or she needs reassurances, and a room or other safe place to retreat to and be private, recuperating from hurts ...

LEO brings a confidence within the known territory, often the home, and learning to make her or his own rules (and challenge others!) ? here?s a love of drama, showing off (?Mummy, mummy, look at ME!?), a need to have at least some time being the centre of attention ...

VIRGO can cause great interest in the physical body, locked away for hours in the bathroom, studying minute changes ? also it can bring great interest in diet (and some despair to whoever is cooking the meal!) ? and may also bring a wish for a tidy room, but this is rare (what a pity!)

LIBRA comes, and instead of ?boys are horrid?, ?girls are silly?, there?s great interest in them, a pre-puberty wanting to know about the difference ? there?s also a need for fairness, woe betide if food is not equally shared ? and awareness of injustice in the wider world, taking up causes ...

SCORPIO is the time of puberty ? there is huge pressure, pain, growth ? awareness of sexuality, power, the ability to affect events ? every moment is important ? there?s needed long periods of rest, then great intensity ? deep and vital questions are asked, and truthful answers demanded.

SAGITTARIUS comes and broadens the mind ? this can be a time of travel, to foreign parts, in fact or thought, an interest in everything, perhaps the desire for some higher study or learning, to try lots of different things ? a desire for freedom, not wanting to be tied down ...

CAPRICORN brings an acceptance of responsibility, for self and others ? there is a settling to one?s mortality, and the want to make a mark in the world ? this can be a time of bringing up a family, knuckling down to work, putting aside immediate desires for a purpose ...

AQUARIUS is a time of independence (if there were children, perhaps they?ve left home), the freedom to do what a person wants, having earned the choice ? there?s a confidence, to be and act different, individual, unique, even eccentric, not minding what other?s think ...

PISCES heralds old age ? perhaps a second childhood, or dwelling in memories ? it may bring a feeling for the great mysteries of life, or an upsurge of interest in religion or spirituality- time for dreaming, and a need to tie up the loose ends, preparing for the end, and perhaps beyond ... ? ?
