Red cards

1
There was a pack of Red cards shared out in Belgium today, 6 Dec 2009. Two games both had two players sent off early to turn on the showers. Link: Sportpress

The world record is to be held by David Pratt of Chippenham town, who got sent off after only 3 seconds of play against Bashley on 28 Dec 2008, according to BBC Sport.

Then there were 5 Red Cards in the game Chesterfield - Plymouth on 22 Feb 1997. On this day there was a full Moon in 4Virgo in a T-square with Pluto at 5Sagittarius, and an opposition between Mars in 4Libra and Saturn in 5Aries. Link to: The Guardian. According to the same source, 5 players were sent off in Bristol Rovers - Wigan Athletic on 2 Dec 2008. In this chart Mars was conjunct the Sun, joined to Antares.

I do not have the exact times. The article in 'The Guardian' relates to how 20 players were shown the Red card after a fight in a game in Paraguay 10 minutes into the game. The game was dismissed.

In Saturday 19 Dec's game between Portsmouth vs Liverpool 2-0.

Liverpool collected a red card in this game. It is interesting that Mars stationary was trine the Aries ascendant, yet sextile the descendant of the guests through signs of long ascension. The sextile through signs of long ascension have the tendency to come out fast, hasty, bold and without caution. In this manner it was Javier Mascherano who commited the offence that earned him the red card.

I want to monitor the position of station of Mars at 19LE39 in future games and we might also eye those aspects through long/short ascension to see whether they show who is throwing out a careless arm.

Holland, 21 December
Heracles - Go Ahead Eagles, 20.00 CST Almelo 51N21 6E40
Two red cards, one to either team, was given in the 41st minute of this game. If you calculate a chart for 20.40 CST this will provide an ascendant of 19LE52, which put the recent stationary Mars on the ascendant. Mars is semi-square Saturn. Also note that the Sun, L1 + Mars dispositor, toppled into Capricorn only an hour prior to match start. That must have come as a solstice shock, then Sun has to deal with Pluto before square to Libra Saturn. :-?

WOW. I re-opened quite a few saved charts, but Mars hadn't been even near the ASC on any of them. Rather near the DSC. :)

I'm gonna inspect a few games today from this point of view. There aren't many though; with unique starting time, even less:

Holland Cup
Feyenoord-AZ / Rotterdam / 20:45 / ASC 19LEO40 / Mars 19LEO39
Very close, but separating. And Mars is going to be retro. A few minutes delayed kick-off, and this nice conjunction perishes.

(Lens-St.Etienne (21:00) is similar, but the aspect is wider and separating as well.)

No unique starting time, but the French 2. division remains to inspect. A bunch of games begin at 20:00, the other bunch at 20:30. In the former case, the Mars-ASC collision can be during the half-time break. :) Depends on the venue. In the latter case, it's 3 games (Arles, Le Havre, Nantes), the conjunction will happen during the 1st half. We will see. :)

Two red cards in the game between Guingamp and Clermont Foot that started at 20.00 CST 48N34 9W35 and ended 1-1.
Asc 29CN13, MC 7AR18, Moon 9PI32, POF 7LI41

The red cards came in the 21st and 23rd minute of the 2nd half. If you add 15 minutes for the break that makes the time about 21.20 CST and 21.22 CST. Asc 13-14Leo and MC 29Aries. Mars would not have been on the ascendant until about 5 minutes into overtime, or upon the final blow of the whistle.

But at about this time there was an own goal scored in the match between Le Havre and Strasbourg that started half an hour later.

RED CARD! :D

Club Brugge - Lokeren, 20.00 CST 51N20 3E10
Brugge received a red card in the 43rd minute, which puts the ascendant in the 19th degree of Leo and Mars on the ascendant. They continued to win the game 2-1.

Own goal
How curious, there was an own goal in the 7th minute of the match between Charleroi and Mechelen that started 20.30 CST. 50N24 4E26. This puts the ascendant at 18LE30...

Is there something going on here?

So, it looks like, Mars on the ASC tends to bring some nastiness. Whether it will be rewarded with a red card, is a different question. :)

As for the own goal - I see the example, but why would Mars produce that? Maybe because it's retrograde...?

Well, Ficina and other members were monitoring planets as they crossed angles for goals/action, if I remember correctly. Maybe Mars indicates misconduct/misfortune. Yes, Mars was stationary and is now retrograde, which could explain why things either fly off the handle or others see red. However, the rule is not applicable to every game. Mars does not provide a foul, own goal or red card in every case, but picking out the incidences is a good starting point for any study.

I feel that this will be a lot of work and take time, but by starting to gather information on red cards, own goals or other spectacular phenomena - maybe we will get better in differenciating games. When a red card is given, who is the offender and what was the offence? Who is the victim?

The red card given on 23 Dec between Toulouse and Bordeaux was not a direct red card but the result of two yellow cards. Mars was not on the ascendant, as this is not required - but are there different rules?
Obtaining the correct time for goals, cards and the like, is hazardous. A half lasts 45 minutes followed by a interval that shall not exceed 15 minutes, but I do not know whether referees follow these rules in a rigid manner. Then there is overtime in first half and other delays - so when are things actually happening?

Red card in the 11th minute (!!) of Boxing Day's match between Middlesbrough and Scunthorpe. Cast the chart for 15.10 GMT and this puts the MC at 19AQ05 and Mars is on the IC!! :!:

Whether the Middlesbrough player received a Black eye is unknown, the ref certainly game Clifford Byrne of Scunthorpe a Xmas card and sent him back into the changing rooms to finish off his turkey. This wrapped it up for Middlesbrough who scored their first goal on the penalty and then only had to fight against 10 men for the remaining 80 minutes. Middlesbrough won the game 3-0.
