2 October 1989 'RTL V?ronique' started their broadcasting from Luxembourg, which was the only legal option, adressed to the Dutch public. Until then we had 3 public tv stations. Soon RTL V would call itself RTL4. They had to fight for it but now the Dutch commercial tv is the strongest party in the European market. I think this fight is very apparent in the chart.

I doubted about the place to choose. The broadcasting was from Luxembourg but it was aimed at the Netherlands. Hilversum was the city of the public tv. The commercial tv falls under Luxembourg jurisdiction.

Unfortunately I don't know how to place a chart in a post but with these angles the positions are easy to imagine.

What a chart a T-square with Saturn in X and Capricorn opposition to Jupiter in IV and Cancer and both square to Sun conjunct Mars in VII and Libra. Moon in VII and Scorpio is sextile to Saturn and trine to Jupiter.

I think these positions indicate the hard time in the beginning to get it all through, finally to be a big market party. I'm not particularly fond of commercial tv and almost never look at it but the chart is fascinating.

This transit could have something to do with the upcoming reorganisations at RTL Netherlands. Im not sure because, every company is influenced by the crisis, but still interesting to keep an eye upon.

This, about reorganisations/ financial cuts is in Dutch but I couldn't find anything in English.

There are more interesting transits to come, Saturn and Uranus are also moving towards the first degrees of Libra and Aries respectively.

I did some work on the Norwegian NRK chart some years back. It looked to me as if stationary Mercury (if I remember correctly) hitting this chart would be the cause of a fire that would start back stage or in the scenery. Actually, it turned out that the issue of fire was in fact a conflict and the building was evacuated and sealed off in connection with a union strike.

Absolutely, that's what makes prediction so difficult in astrology. An accident can be related to transits, directions, stations etc, but not every transit, direction, station etc. predicts an accident. Like: all dogs are mammals, but not all mammals are dogs.

In terms of earthquakes, which is being discussed on another thread, these are caused by tensions in the earths crust of a certain level. Astrology does monitor tensions, but it is not always that these tensions break the surface. Prediction is always easier withing areas of a narrow focus.
