St Leger Horse Race 10 September

1
The last of this year's English Classic races is the St Leger to be run at Doncaster (53N31, 1W06) on Saturday 10 September 2011 at 15:05 BST.

Although it's two weeks off, and I have not seen all the colours yet, I thought it might be time to start considering the chart. Although it needs more thought, an initial look at the chart shows the Moon applying to a conjunction with Neptune. This might suggest Sea Moon. Unfortunately, Sea Moon is the favourite at rather poor odds, so I will continue thinking about the chart to find a nice outsider at good odds that might be placed.

As the St Leger is on Saturday I thought some final thoughts were in order. As I mentioned in the first post above, Sea Moon is the clear favourite but a poor odds, so I have been looking to find a runner at longer odds that I can make a case for :D

Looking at the jockeys' colours I am struck by Seville. Royal blue with an orange disc. To me that sounds like Jupiter (which I think of as either purple or royal blue) and the Sun. The chart is ruled by Jupiter (Sag rising) and the ascendant is closely square the Sun. The race starts as the planetary hour changes from Saturn to Jupiter.

I'm going for Seville to be placed. I don't think it will win, but at 9/1 it looks good value for a place.

GB, you post wrong start time, start time is 15:10!(according to http://www.racingpost.com)
In that case first aspected planet is JU, and acording to colors and name I go for BLUE BUNTING.

Yes! The report I used when I first posted was wrong. The start time is, as you say, 15:10. In fact, the chart I used this evening was set for the correct time of 15:10, I had forgotten the initial error.

As you will see, in the correct chart the asc is square sun. I agree about the colour blue, and Blue Bunting was my second choice! The only question is, does the square to the sun make the orange disc the differentiating factor?

Summary: Sea Moon is the clear favourite with the bookies and has strong indications of Moon applying to the conjunction of Neptune, but favourites are boring :D The alternatives seem to me to be (as you say) Blue Bunting, or on the blue/orange, Seville. Currently Blue Bunting is available at 7/2 and Seville at 9/1. The favourite, Sea Moon is at 2/1.

Let's say: First - Sea Moon, Second/Third - Blue Bunting/Seville. Order of second and third at your choice. :D

Hi I also Go for Blue Bunting for the St Leger ridden by Frankie Dettori, who's relocated chart shows a Sun Sextile MC at 2.47PM.

But at 2.05pm Frankie also has a Venus Sextile Jupiter aspect, so for the 2.05pm race, Al Kahn should be placed at least (14-1 at Paddy Power)

I'm going for an each double with Al Khan 14-1 and Blue Bunting 7-2

Well done, Goca.

What house system do you use? It would be a good idea to have shown the chart on the OP for the race then everyone can check both the timings and chart systems. :???:
Mad Daz's Place, quiet but never boring
