by Andrew Bevan Fredrikstad 2 - Vard Haugesund 2-2 ! Now I think this is because the Hour was changing from Lord Saturn to Lord Jupiter. This appears to either splits the result two ways or push the result away from the favourite. I never learn! Discipline! However, the other thing is POF square Jupiter. This is apparently not enough for the favourite to win and could actually cause problems. During the month we have gathered several observations on POF in aspect to Jupiter. In the game of June 21 between Tenerife and Castellon 1-2 and a defeat to the favourites! Lillestr?m - Molde 0-1 Molde managed to squabble to ball over the line in the very last kick of the match. Overtime on overtime. 94 minutes and 9 seconds. Why the ref hadn't blown before we will never know. Oh well! VPS - JJK Jyvaskyla 2-1 At least this match seems to show that the Sun opposite POF may still indicate the favourite, plus the luminary in aspect to an angle indicates the same. In opposition to POF, do the Sun and Moon perform differently? http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Jun 25, 2009 3:44 pm
by Andrew Bevan June 28 - Norwegian Elite League: Vaalerenga - Rosenborg, 20.00 CST Oslo Odds: 3,30 3,40 2,15 Asc 6SG50 MC 19LI11 Moon 28VI04 VOC POF 27AQ44 Day Sun, Hour Mercury/Moon - stuck on the bridge This is an interesting chart because Jupiter L1 is conjunct POF. This is a contest where the home team Vaalerenga receives the asc. However, Mercury, L7, is dignified and trine the MC. The Moon being VOC and the guards being stuck on the bridge - I suggest a draw. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jun 27, 2009 8:53 pm
by Andrew Bevan Vaalerenga - Rosenborg 1-2 Nope, the Moon VOC went for another spin-off. Vaalerenga took the lead but then their goal-scorer Andri Muri made an own goal and put matters equal in the 70th minute. Rosenborg scored their deciding goal in the 90th minute. I hate it when that happens. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:08 pm
by Andrew Bevan Monitoring today's one-off match in the Norwegian elite div: Stabaek - Brann, 19.00 CST Oslo Odds: 1,95 3,50 3,65 Asc 27SC49 MC 3LI59 Moon 10LI54 POF 0PI38 Day Moon Hour Jupiter - Jupiter aspects the asc. I can't see anything here, but it's worth checking on how the Lord of the Hour and the hard square to the asc works out. We do have similar cases in our files from the last month. -------------------------------------- This game ended 2-1 for the home team favourites. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:30 pm
by taurean Yes, nothing special in the chart... I read an old thread (here in Sport Astrology) the other day, the thread starter wrote that you should check the houses (and rulers) 1-5-10 and 7-11-4. I thought that it was very complicated. Well, it?s not so complicated on this chart. Those 6 houses are ruled by Mars and Venus with a fair share of 3-3. The 2 planets themselves are in the 6th house, quite close to each other. What?s in the houses: Mercury in the 7th (not a big help to the Desc. team, I guess) and a fast moving Moon in the 10th maybe, maybe helping the Asc. team. (It might be a weak testimony, but there are no stronger ones here, e.g. partile POF aspects.) I would give the Asc. to the home team. As for LHr Jupiter squares to Asc, yes, but thus technically it squares the Desc. too. So I don?t know what?s the correct conclusion here. Maybe it?s simply a neutral chart, so the mild favorite (because playing at home) has won. Quote Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:58 pm
by taurean I wanted but forgot to examine the dignities. Essentially Venus is far better. Accidentally Mars is a bit better. (I wonder if you should calculate with Algol around 26 Taurus, but in this case it doesn't matter as both rulers are near to that star.) If Asc/Mars is Stabaek then we can say that essential dignities don't matter too much. By the way, I googled pictures of previous Stabaek-Brann derbies. I hope I'm not mixing the teams, so Stabaek was in darkblue-black, Brann in red shirts white trousers. Maybe these were the colors today as well. Should you use the color method, wouldn't you give the Asc/Mars to red Brann and Desc/Venus to blue Stabaek? I don't want to disorient or make things even more complex but placing the teams right is a cardinal question. Quote Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:13 pm
by Andrew Bevan I found this entry on June 22: Brei?ablik - Stjarnan, 21.00 BST Kopavogur Odds: 2,10 3,25 3,05 Asc 25SC47 MC 10LI07 Moon 1CN46 POF 26SC02 This match ended 2-1 to Breidablik, which is identical to this evenings game between Stabaek and Brann! The Lord of the Hour is preferable for the favourite. However, there should be a double-cross checking here where we compare with POF square Jupiter, LHr. I believe we have a few cases on record over the last month. Taurian, my attempts to make the lesser essential dignities work in soccer predictions didn't seem particularly significant. Ficina convinced me that they didn't appear to be important. I do not use the colour method - we should get a comment from Goca. I would almost without exception give the home team the ascendant. The colour method I would turn to as a secondary condition, that certainly would be more important if the match were played on a neutral ground. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:19 pm
by Andrew Bevan Today's study - a one-off in the Norwegian 1.div: Ham-Kam - Moss, 19.35 CST Hamar 60N48 11E06 Odds: 1,45 4,50 6,15 Asc 3SG04 MC 14LI57 Moon 24LI16 POF 18PI16 Day Mars, Hour Venus - radical by shared powers with Jupiter This is an interesting game in terms of the odds. Moss have only 2 points less than Ham-Kam with one game less played, so the teams would appear to be evenly matched. The Lady of the Hour is in the same sign as Mars, L4, and this would be the first testimony in direction of a draw. The Moon in the 10th house actually translates a trine from Mercury, L7, to Jupiter, L1. It is difficult to know whether this gives advantage to the home team, or yet another testimony of a draw. Libra being a sign of balance. The Moon makes an inconjunct to Venus, LHr, before reaching the trine of Jupiter. I would take this of yet a token of an 'outside' result. I think a draw is the most likely outfall. PS. I just noticed that Venus, LHr, does apply to the square of Jupiter, L1, but the Moon does 'reach' or rather 'disturb' her first. http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Jun 30, 2009 10:56 am
by taurean It's strange, my software "says" that the hour is Mercury. Venus was before Mercury, even at 19:30, but not any more at 19:35. The other parameters (Asc, MC, etc.) are the same as yours. Other stuff I would add: the Moon is in Via Combusta - it it said that it makes predicting harder. L7 Mercury is, not combusted, but "Under Sun's beams (within 17? of the Sun)". Quote Tue Jun 30, 2009 6:28 pm
by Andrew Bevan Well, Taurean - I am not actually calculating the planetary hour, just reading it from the chart where I am using Regiomontanus houses. This might explain the difference. I use a 'quadrant' system for the planetary hours rather than a time-based one. The first half of the 9th house is ruled by the Lord of the Day, Mars. The second half of the 8th is ruled by the Sun. The first half of the 8th is ruled by Venus. The second half of the 7th is ruled by Mercury. The Sun in this chart is early in the 8th house, thus I take it to be the hour of Venus. From a visual perspective I make certain adoptions according to whether the houses are increasing or decreasing in sign. http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Jun 30, 2009 6:49 pm

by Andrew Bevan Ham-Kam won 1-0 with Moss scoring an own goal. Well, it was either/or. Moss appeared as the strongest team but did not succeed in getting the ball into the opponents net. This one goes into our collection of observations. http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Jun 30, 2009 7:33 pm
