by Andrew Bevan One of my favourite horaries is regarding who would win the Eurovision Song Contest 1987. Readers might not remember the event off hand, but as soon as you get in to the chart I am sure you will recall the winner with great clarity. http://astronor.com/horary-eurovision87.htm http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu May 07, 2009 8:04 pm
by PallasAthene Very neat Andrew! And raises an interesting point for a beginner.. Almuten when to use, when not to use? Quote Thu May 07, 2009 10:56 pm
by Andrew Bevan That's a great question!! I think the almuten should be considered more - maybe in the outfall of sports competitions, too. Some years ago when looking out on charts of clients I noticed how the signs of spouses and children were signified by the almuten rather than the natural ruler of the sign. Rather saying that this was a hard rule, I would say that the discovery struck me at the time. Let's work on it! Almuten: One of the hassels is that the Sun becomes the predominant dispositor or Almuthen in Aries during Day, and likewise Saturn in Libra. Equally, the Moon in Taurus during night. Things to think about! http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri May 08, 2009 9:05 pm
by Andrew Bevan It's getting really close now and I am getting all excited! The Norwegian Broadcasting Company, NRK, printed a story including my astrological coverage of the Norwegian entry on February 25. Here is the link, but unfortunately it is in Norwegian. http://nrk.no/programmer/tv/melodi_grand_prix/1.6497894 Bookmakers hold 'Fairy tale' as an outstanding favourite. The best odds is about 2,75:1 but that is still quite a good bet for anyone looking for some fun!! Consider the chart for the event: The Moon in Aquarius (she left him) applying to Jupiter conjunct Neptune, square Sun conj. Algol; "I?m in love with a fairytale Even though it hurts. Cause I don?t care if I lose my mind; I?m already cursed." http://www.eurovision.tv/page/multimedia/videos?id=2384 Doesn't that just about wrap it up from an astrological perspective? http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri May 08, 2009 10:36 pm
by Andrew Bevan Rybak goes to Oprah Aftenposten reports today: "The enthusiasm surrouding Alexander Rybak and 'Fairytale' prior to Saturday's Eurovision Song Contest final will not cease. His favourite rating lacks comparison in the Eurovision Song Contest history. Whether he wins the competition or not, his entry will never reckoned a defeat or loss. He has already signed record contracts for 20 countries." Oprah Winfrey has aked permission she to show a clip from Alexander Rybak's presentation video on her Tuesday night show. The price offered for a Norwegian victory is falling all over the line. Victor Chandler is still offering 2,75:1 but Unibet has fallen to 2,25:1. http://www.aftenposten.no/kul_und/tv/article3070295.ece http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon May 11, 2009 6:14 pm
by Goca I am worry about that Moon in Aq in event chart. Transit Moon in Aq usually brings surprises... Greetings, Goca http://www.astrosport07.webs.com http://fensi88.livejournal.com/ Quote Mon May 11, 2009 6:32 pm
by Andrew Bevan Transit Moon in Aq usually brings surprises... It is possible. Both Mercury and Saturn, the dispositor of the Moon, being retrograde. The Norwegian team have announced that they have decided to change costumes as not to send any wrong or mistaken political signals around the world. Something to do with the original dressing reminded of a national suit or clothing from Iraq and so on. Don't get me wrong on that, but the decision appears be to try and avoid controversy and misunderstanding by going with something neutral. I wonder what that could be?? http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue May 12, 2009 1:34 pm

by Andrew Bevan Yes, that Me rx...maybe problems with voting Such a thing has never known to be a problem in Moscow, surely? Mercury retrograde has been known to corrupt popular votes earlier. However, my guess is that the whole thing comes down to a 'Fairytale'. http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue May 12, 2009 4:42 pm
by Andrew Bevan Countries automatically qualified for Saturday's final: Great Britain (Aries), France (Leo), Germany (Aries), Spain (Sagittarius) and Russia (Aquarius). Then 10 nations qualified this evening: Turkey (Virgo), Sweden (Aquarius), Israel (Aries), Portugal (Pisces), Malta (?), Finland (Pisces?), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Capricorn?), Romania (Leo), Armenia (Libra) and Iceland (Aries). 26 by Goca I have for Finland/Aquarius and for Iceland/Gemini. Greetings, Goca http://www.astrosport07.webs.com http://fensi88.livejournal.com/ Quote Wed May 13, 2009 8:32 am
by Andrew Bevan I have for Finland/Aquarius and for Iceland/Gemini. Do you have a reference there, Goca? I have Sweden under Aquarius (Bills), but can't find Finland and can hardly imagine it being anything else than Pisces ('the land of the thousand lakes'). Iceland is Aries according to Bills. I would have gone for Libra, but then there are all those volcanos. http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed May 13, 2009 9:22 am
