It was a pretty soft penalty, but there we go. At least Gillingham didn't disgrace themselves and can be proud of their performance.

Interesting that both Villa goals were scored by Milner, 'the birthday boy'. Gillingham turned out to be a favourable place for his solar return!

Blyth Spartans - Blackburn, 0-0 after the first 45 minutes??
Who on Earth are Blyth Spartans?

Asc 29LE14 MC 16TA28 Moon 2TA27 POF 16SG02
Played in the hour of Saturn, who is in the same triplicity as the Sun. The Sun L1 is trine the MC. That is a testimony for the home team. Are we up for a suprize or could the game end a draw? The Moon applies to the sextile of Venus, who is L10 and located in the 7th. I don't quite know what to make of that. POF is quincunx the MC which also may favour the outsider or a long shot.

Well the Premier Leauge teams seem to be having some trouble with the underdogs, but Blackburn won 0-1 eventually, thanks to Carlos Villanueva who didn't have hsi birthday today but was lacking one month before celebrating his 23rd birthday on Feb. 5.

Carling Cup, Jan. 6
Tottenham-Burnley, 20.00 GMT
Odds: 1,45 3,75 7,50
Asc 29LE20 MC 18TA49 Moon 16TA34 POF 29SG15
Played in the hour of the Sun - radical. The Moon is culiminating and applies to the dexter trine to the Sun, L1+hour, through signs of short ascension. The home favourites get it. Spurs win.

Result: Spurs won 4-1!!

Semi-final Carling Cup, Jan. 7
Derby - ManU, 19.45 GMT
Odds: 8,50 4,00 1,40
Asc 26LE57 MC 14TA29 Moon 0GE57 POf 10CP15
Played on the Day and in the Hour of Mercury - not radical. The Moon is in the 1st degree of Gemini in the 10th. She casts a quincunx to Pluto. Could Derby surpize? The chart is not a clear-cut case. Mars, L4, is 1deg34 wide of POF. Venus, L10, is in the 7th and applies to the sextile of Mars, L4.

This is Derby's first semi-final in a major Cup since 1976. Anyone with a view? :)
---------------------------------------------------------------

Derby have taken the lead in the first half. The excitement must be terrific!

Derby - ManU 1-0!! Gottit!! :D :'
I seem to have observed in several matches that the 27th degree of Leo on the Asc is beneficial for the home team since it casts its anticia to the exaltation of the Moon. Likewise the opposite degree on the Des casts its antiscia to the fall of the Moon. This together with lack of radicality, the Moon in the 10th casting its quincunx to Pluto, toppled the balance.

Hooray!

I couldn't get anything out of that chart at all.
Derby 1 - ManU 0 does hardly make sense.

Friday evening, the Championship
Reading - Watford, 20.00 GMT
Odds: 1,50 3,60 7,00
Asc 0VI50 MC 20TA57 Moon 1CN07 POF 12AQ14
Played on the Day of Venus and in the Hour of Mercury - Radical.
Mercury, L1, is mr. Saturn, who casts his trine to the MC.
Jupiter, L7, is cadent and focal planet of a Yod with the Moon and the Asc. I cannot see how this favours the guests. I do not the the Moon's opposition to Pluto as an issue.

Saturday, 10th, Premier League
AstonVilla - WestBrom, 12.45 GMT
Odds: 1,40 4,15 8,50
Asc 0GE23 MC 27CP29 Moon 11CN44 POF 21SC42
Played in the Hour of Saturn - Radical. Saturn rules the ascendant by triplicity, but is also mr. Mercury. Mercury is in the 10th and casts his antiscia to POF. POF is also sextile the Sun.

Stoke - Liverpool, 17.30 GMT
Odds: 8,00 4,10 1,42
Asc 5LE20 MC 11AR33 Moon 14CN45 POF 29CP27
Played in the Hour of the Moon - not radical.
This one is difficult. Liverpool, represented by the 7th are high favourites by odds. I call Mercury in the 7th as slow. The Sun, L1, applies to Saturn, L7, by trine. I think this could open for a draw.

Re Villa/West Brom
Two minor testimonies for Villa: Saturn L10 partile sextile POF and Mercury L1 applying conj antiscion POF. Nothing for West Brom although their natal Sun is partile trine match chart MC so I'll be interested to see if that has any effect.

This is a local derby but with Villa odds-on faves I expect they will win. Presume from your analysis that you are going for Villa too, Andrew?

26
Correct! Villa will beat WestBrom,
and for the record
Reading beat Watford 4-0! :)

Stoke stealing points against Liverpool will be the possible suprize of the day today, if any.

Hmm... I seem to have made a nice ?35 today on a triplet between yesterdays win by Reading and todays victory by Villa and Leicester in League 1. (Leicester - Leyton 3-0) :lala

Ready for Sunday's games in the Premiership:
Wigan - Tottenham, 13.30 GMT
Odds: 2,35 3,25 2,90
Asc 16GE51 MC 8AQ31 Moon 27CN22 POF 22SG45
Played in the Hour of Venus - Not radical. The Moon is VOC. Mercury, L1, si stationary on the Midheavan in reception with Saturn, L10. Saturn casts his square to POF through signs of short ascension. I go for a Wigan win, or maybe a draw considering that the chart is not radical, Mercury is stationary and the Moon is VOC. Any suggestions? :???:

ManU-Chelsea, 16.00 GMT
Odds: 2,25 3,20 3,15
Asc 20CN15 MC 18PI10 Moon 28CN57 POF 27CP37
Played in the Hour of Saturn - Not radical. Now this is an interesting match. The Sun is on the 7th and applies to the trine of its dispositor, Saturn, in the 4th. I do believe I favour Chelsea to collect all the points in this game. Ideas are much appreciated.
