Mutual Reception by Terms Question

1
This is more about essential dignity within signs of detriment and fall. I would like to know if essential dignity exists for planets which are otherwise debilitated. As in subtract 5 for detriment then add one for face and 2 for terms and end up with -2 instead of -5.

Here is my example using reception by terms basically:

Mercury at 5 Sag = Terms Jup of (Face of Merc )

Jupiter at 16 Sag = Terms of Mercury.

Now Mercury is clearly in essential debility. It is DETRIMENT. But there are terms and face for it.

Any thoughts on this is much apreciated. Thanks.

Hi Night Sky,

you can find an answer for your question in the recent comment by Steven Birchfield on the Mystery Chart #17 thread here:

http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic ... c&start=15

Note how well posited Steven sees Saturn though it's in its detriment.

(BTW, note also how masterfully Steven got the facts out of a blind chart right again! Amazing. "...a very fortunate livelihood...", "...involved with politicians and was a friend and "2nd" to politicians and men of political power. His fortune was significantly tied to politics and political decisions...", "he did not come from a well established family ande his chart indicates social mobility moving from a lower status to a higher status and may well have been resented and even hated for that. Both the Sun and the Moon are in the 12th which would very much indicate that the parents were not of noble birth, but were used to hardship and suffering...")

A planet in its lesser dignity gives it a reason for being there,
even though it may in a battlefield by either detriment or fall.

Venus in its own terms in either Aries or Scorpio could be a nurse.
Mercury in Pisces could be a poet or interpreter.

A planet in its own term has the resources to solve the problem.
A planet in its own face has the right of representation.
