Hello to all. I want to thank Deb for publishing Steven Birchfield's excellent and thought-provoking article on traditional astrological approaches to relationship issues, a piece whose stimulus was a discussion on this forum. Thank you for writing the article, Steven!

Is anyone else having trouble printing the PDF file? I am using a Mac G3 computer running OS X v.3, with Safari v. 2 browser. This is not the most current hard- and software, and my difficulties might be related to that and nothing more. (My laptop PC is not connected to the Internet.)

What I find, is that the PDF file seems to install Adobe 7.0 as a separate printer in my Printer Utility application, and in addition the entire article doesn't print; only the first six pages print out, ever so slowly, and the glyphs in Steven's example chart are random symbols (I presume because the computer doesn't have that font).

Steven is one of my favorite teachers and writers and I'd love to be able to print the article for study. I'm wondering if others are having similar difficulties, or if it's just my system. If it's the latter, I'll print it from a friend's computer when I get the chance.

Can you read it by using "Preview"? That always opens PDFs on my Mac.

Hi Mithra6. I can read it using Preview, but I can't print it. I might be able to copy and paste it into a word processing program from Preview, though.

I `ve printed out the text without problem - but the chart doesn`t have glyphs for signs and planets, just some strange symbols. I made my own chart and - let`s go to study!

I don't have any problems viewing or printing this file, but if anyone who does has suggestions to avoid problems like this, please let me know. It shouldn't be too hard to create a new PDF file if we know what is wrong with this one.

I'm glad you find it worth the trouble though!

I, as always, liked very much Steven article, although I confess I didn?t have a large deal of success applying Mashalah rules to my actual horaries. I got a lot of errors in judgement and had to come back to the usual rules.

The PDF file has been updated, so hopefully everyone should be able to see the astrological fonts now. Sorry about the earlier problems !

Hi Steven, thank you for your clarification that this is not a platforum issue. I am interested in understanding how electronic functions operate and interact, and now I have a better grasp of this aspect of it. Your explanation is very clear, as is your article about the principles of delineation in relationship questions. Thank you very much.
