--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

years ago i read in a German magazine that individualistic nations like Britain and Australia were good places for capricorns.
I strongly identify with english idea of ?home? as opposed to ?fatherland? and the identification and loyalty to chosen groups rather than nations as costumary in England.
It always annoyed me to live in a country where people say things like ?we`re all Portuguese after all? or ?all Germans or French? as if we were all family and thus somehow entitled to invade each others space.
I never heard such comments in the UK.
I wonder if its just me or applies to most capricorn misanthrops?

My opinion is that every nation may be associated with two signs; a natural sign and a sign of exaltation. It is like the discovery charts of the outer planets: the sign of natural rulership is always on the meridian, while the sign of exaltation is consequently on the ascendant. http://www.astronor.com/outerplanets.htm

This does not have to be replicated in a national chart to have meaning, although coincidently the 1905 chart Norway has Scorpio on the lower midheaven and Virgo on the ascendant.

Capricorn rising is not possible for Britain while Aries is on the lower midheaven. The only way the combination is possible is by putting Capricorn on the MC and make Aries the ascendant. The combination does bring about an association of "Rule Britainnia".
