I know for a fact that Mark has been extremely busy. Don't take it personal, Tom. If something is wrong with your computor, I am not sure sending you an email will sort the problem out... :'

I am having problems receiving topic notifications :-cry :-cry :-cry
It is making it extremely difficult to stay ajourned with all the interesting discussions. :(

I received an email from Malcolm who said as follows:
I saw your comment to Tom about not receiving notifications; I had a similar problem some time back and realised that, because I was deleting them without looking at them, the program was treating them as spam. Now I open them and then delete them.
Thanks Malcom! This took some time for me to figure out. Yes, I do use a spam-filter that applies a 'warning level' and a 'kill level'. At some point I stopped receiving topic notifications. That was a nightmare because there are so many interesting discussions going on in various forums but it was virtually impossible to keep track of the threads.

I lowered my spam filter levels by one notch. At this point I did start to received some topic notifications, but less than half. I have now lowered the filter levels yet another notch - it does seem to help!! :'

The thing that confuses me is that at do point in time did a topic notification come in at spam 'warning level'. My spam filter must be a natural Scorpio - an immediate kill!

Oh well, I appear to have won the lottery 10 times this week... but I have yet to be offered another batch of viagra! :brows

Spam filters and the NCGR?

I worry about spam filters sometimes, especially those used by people and organisations based in the United States. Some of them seem to categorically jettison all emails sent from my Internet Service Provider's domain name comhem.se, which is one of the largest ISPs in Sweden.

Has anyone except me living outside the US found it absolutely impossible to get any message through to the National Council for Geocosmic Research? I've sent them several emails this year without a single reply, and feel sure that some idiotic corporate spam filter that can't tell a valid ISP from an auto-generated spam address must be to blame....

Hello Tom,

Sorry Tom it was nothing personal! Its nice to be be missed. :D
I did pop on quickly on one thread using a friends PC a few days ago but missed this post from you.

Its probably not common knowledge in the USA but its been the Astrological Association Conference here in the UK over the last few days. I was away down south and attended a fantastic one day workshop with Ben Dykes. :lala Just got home this evening.

I dont think the issue is related to my spam filter as I check the spam emails being filed just in case. However, to date I have only received one PM from you which I just replied to. I dont understand about missing one of those as I have been getting lots of others recently.

I think the problem was due to letting my email box fill up one day last week up so I couldn't receive any further emails for a short time. Sorry about that. :-?

Hi Mii,

Great to hear from you. You have provided a great alibi for my not replying to Tom earlier! Now you have made your first post hope to hear from you and Iza again on skyscript. Your both excellent astrologers who have lots of interesting insights to offer. Dont worry about the quality of the english its the astrology that counts. :'

I agree Skyscript is fantastic. We owe a lot to Deb , Tom, Andrew and the other moderators here. The forum is particularly helpful as unlike books and articles people can disagree with you.

The quality, of many of the contributions here is outstanding. :lala
