Today Moon is in Via combust way again, regarding match New Castle and Arsenal. It seams that charts are same, but because of fact that Moon is in fall and its dispositor is rx I would go for draw.

Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal

None of my long-shots went in, but 1-1 Newcastle-Arsenal was quite good. Great show, Goca! Thumbs up I had a bet on InterMilan beating Lazio, so on a day I am up 6,- At least that is a step in the right direction. Leery

The most interesting matches in my opinion were in the European Championships in Curling where Venus left Libra, and the Moon was 'frustrated'. The teams I were following were lagging behind, but then the matches suddenly turned around and were decided to the teams of my favour in the very last stone.

An interesting phenomena reported at these championships is that the yellow stones are curling more than the red. The red stones will not curl and tend to move in a straight line!

I think that both Ficina and Coffee were onto something important here.

This is another important observation. When a team is so strong that it should win by default, then do we apply different rules to decide the outfall of the match? The Moon Via Combust in Scorpio with Mars retrograde does not seem to have had effect other matches, but the is Arsenal match the default (?)

I did not look at another charts, but every chart is unique. Yesterday In match Real vs Partizan , Moon was in Via Combust way but also was ruler of first and in mutual reception with Ma, ruler of 10th house, Real won 2:0! (Real's sport kit is white, quite appropriate for Can on ASC, and there were "nothibng" else regarding advantage in that chart).

I'd been wondering about this too. All the games last night kicked off at the same time, but just the one ended in a draw. I only looked at three of the Uefa games - those that Andrew and Laurie mentioned - Everton, Basel and Nurnberg - which all had Leo rising and looked the same as Newcastle chart.

I guess the Newcastle game was a "one off" in a sense since it was the only EPL game being played, so the Moon's dispositor retro rule could be applied in that case, but not to all those Uefa games.

When I said Arsenal would win by default, that was because there seemed to be no testimonies either way in the chart, so that can indicate a draw or the faves win by default. Since Arsenal were odds-on faves, and the best team in the league, I assumed they'd win.

This is an important detail in itself, that should be taken into account when passing judgement. I do not know whether Moon via combust disposed by retro Mars qualifies a draw, but it important to look 'out of the odds'. The odds for Newcaste-Arsenal were: home 5,5 draw 3,5 away 1,65.

I can't see anything stopping Arsenal away beating Middlesborough at home on Sunday! Arsenal as favourites get the asc. 11AR20 with Mars angular on IC. Sun is almuten of asc and joined to the Moon (visitors?) Middelsborough get the desc with Venus detrimented in the fall of the Moon. Saturn, who is almuten of the desc is cadent.
Odds: home 7,00 draw 3,75 away 1,50

The best game during the weekend is in my opinion still the Villa game:
Quote:
Looking ahead to Saturday:
AstonVilla-Portsmouth 12.45 GMT
Odds: Home 2,15 Draw 3,25 Away 3,30
http://www.astronor.com/071208Villa.gif

This should give a win for Villa. Asc 20PI44, Jupiter 27SG40 conj MC
Des 20VI44, Mercury 11SG01, detriment and combust.

I know that Goca has used this testimony to good effect in the past - weak Moon with ruler retro. And I forgot to say, well done, Goca Thumbs up Basically you looked at the one chart and made a correct prediction, end of story. Anything else going on at 7.45 can be considered irrelevant, if you see what I mean.

Andrew, I agree the Villa win should be a safe bet, at a good price too. Liverpool also, but they are odds-on. I'll look at the Sunday games later.

I do not think so. Do you see that tight conjunction L1 with Pl? That is very bad sign, being so tight is maybe worst from that combustion of Me because Me is abouth 6 degree from Su! Be carefull!

Yes, Jupiter has been creeping up on Pluto, and Laurie mentioned recently that it will be interesting to see the effect, if any, as it gets closer. In the Chelsea/West Ham game last Saturday, it was 2 degs away and did no harm - Chelsea won OK. But "be careful" is probably good advice!

I was looking for some effect of Sun square Uranus which could have caused an upset with Asc Leo, but seen nothing yet.

Brighton-Nottingham F, Dec 7, 19.45 GMT
Odds: 2,60 3,20 2,55

This could be another opportunity to try out Gcoa's theory.
Moon is VOC in Scorpio, disposed by retrograde Mars.
Moon is opposite Algol - deprived of getting anywhere.

Anyone agree with this match ending a draw?
Asc 5LE00 MC 13AR23 PoS(n) 13CN59 - disposed by VOC Moon

No, I don't.
Lord 1 opposes Antiscion Fortuna;
Antiscion Moon in 7, close to the cusp;
Moon square Antiscion Lord 4;
so it's the underdog that will win.

Problem is: who is the underdog? Odds are very close indeed.

Brighton plays in blue and white, not very fitting for Sun and Mars.
However: Nottingham plays in Red/white. Even though I am not very good with colours, I would say it is Nottingham that will be favorites and Brighton the underdog.
Brighton to win, but not by much. probably 1-0 or something like that.

I have a better candidate for a draw:
Dutch Jupiler league:
Veendam-Volendam

Absolutely nothing happens, with the exception of a extremely weak and unreliable Moon square AL4.

So I go for a draw with this one.

Do the outer planets necessarily work, or should be considered, when judging competition charts? I just looked at one of the curling charts where Sun squar Uranus and Moon square Neptune didn't upset the favourites at all.

Just a question. In the charts I have been following, the favourites (according to odds) have won in 21 out of 23 cases!!

Question
