My father is 85 - "still going strong" - but, well, you never know what might be happening in the weeks, months to come.
He has always liked travelling, and he told me he wanted one more journey in his life - a 12-day-voyage, through the Baltic Sea, starting from Kiel/Germany in July 2008 to Russia, Finland, Sweden...
He asked me to accompany him, as he would no longer be able to manage everything by himself. (He'll pay the voyage for me, too.)
Well, I agreed.

My question - I asked myself this morning:
November 29th, 7:34 GMT // 7:30 East, 5155 North:
Will Dad be OK in July 2008, so we can start our journey?
(He is going to book today, maybe he did it yesterday.)

AC: 10 degees SAG - certainly reflecting the travel, also the voyage, JU being the ruler of Pisces. JU in house 1, in SAG too - all this stands for the question itself and myself.
The Moon, myself as well, is in Leo aproaching JU (trig) - so far, so good.
My father is the Sun - it is conjunct SAG-AC.
But-the old problem- is one's own father represented by the lord of 4 or of 10? This would mean that things would have to be looked upon from very different angles:
a) Father rules house 4: Mars is the ruler, but is is weak in Cancer and is retrograde. That certainly would mean that he would not be in the physical condition to start the voyage, wouldn't it?
b) Father = house ten: VE being the ruler then, it is in 10 in Libra - which would certainly make a difference.

Any ideas?

Hi Lunlumo,

Can you post the location and not just the cooridinates? Makes it easier to cast the chart.

And Lilly gives the 4th to the father.

Hi Tara,
thanks for responding.

It's Senden, North-West Germany, close to Münster. There are two towns called Senden, better refer to Münster (possibly spelled Munster or Muenster)

If Lilly is right - which he usually is - then I do not think the voyage will take place.
Concerning father and mother in a chart: There's another theory, saying that for male nativities the father is in the fourth house and the mother in the tenth, and it's vice versa in case of a female nativity.

Well, I'm male, so this would not make a difference.

In addition, my father is also represented by the Sun which is square Saturn. This, too, does not look too good.

Hi Lunlumo,
your father, L4, Mars, is moving away from 8th house to the 7th of partnership. His vitality could fall but not before taking the trip. Great expectations will make him fit.
Antares on Asc - royal star makes people moving mountains.
Regulus on 9th cusp - you`ll be the Kings of the road. But after the trip - only God knows.
Your Jupiter is on nebula Aculeus - it causes blindness - you see circumstances darker than they are.

I think you and your father will have a great trip. Wish you the best!

Trojan

Hi Trojan,
thank you for your feedback. Indeed it is both reasonable and encouraging.
