Astro Meteorology--A Beginner--Guidance required 1 by Morpheus Hi All-- In view of the prevailing less than satisfactory rains in my city i have decided to take up the study of Astro Meorology in addition to Horary. Attention is drawn to an article by Kim Farnell http://www.skyscript.co.uk/meteorology1.html I have set up a Solar ingress chart for my location. I have difficulty in comprehending (my fault) the statement to use co-ordinates for the location but using the GMT instead of local time. My question is that is this chart has been cast correctly for the location of Rawalpindi, Pakistan? June 21st 2007, 11.07 pm, Rawalpindi Pakistan. The ascendant is Pisces 6 degrees 30 minutes. Sun 0 dgrees 0 minutes Cancer. My next question is that Solar ingress is a base chart but what is the order of the importance of other charts? My understanding is as under:- Solar ingress chart--Base chart Lunation chart--Sub-base chart after Solar ingress Mercury ingress chart---2nd base chart after Soalr ingress Sun rise chart---Last chart to be read in the context of upper charts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Morpheus https://horusastropalmist.wordpress.com/ Quote Wed Jun 27, 2007 1:28 pm
by cyber_brujo David Hernandez sells an ebook on Astrometerology. He can be reached at david@astrologiaholistica.com. A sample from the book is in the file section on the realastrology yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/therealastrology. He uses traditional techniques. A more modern book on the subject is Weather Predicting by C.C.Zain. It is a good book and I would recommend even the tradtionalist die-hards should read it. Quote Sat Jun 30, 2007 10:15 pm
by cyber_brujo A.J. Pearce has a chapter on Astrometerology in his book The Text-Book of Astrology. The mundane astrology section also has weather lore. Nina Gryphony has weather prediction charts for the SF Bay area using traditional astrology at http://gryphonastrology.wordpress.com/tag/weather/. Caroline Egan has an online class in weather astrology at http://www.weathersage.com/. I believe David Hernandez and Nina both took her course. Quote Sat Jun 30, 2007 11:41 pm

by Cymraes Thanks for the link to the article (and many links) - found it most interesting and just what I was trolling the internet for! I must remember to look here first in the future! Quote Wed May 13, 2009 12:51 pm
by Andrew Bevan The Astrological Journal printed a great article on Astro Meteorlogy by Jim ten Hove in the Spring edition 1980 vol.2 and then his predictions appeared in Spring1982 vol. 2+Summer 1982 vol. 3 and in Winter 1982-1983 vol.1. If you really feel like polishing up your Scandinavian, then Ference Sz?ll?si also went to detail with practical examples in his "Astrologi - Rigtigt L?rt", Strubes Forlag 1971. I do have a link to a mundane chart on my site, actually it is the Capricorn Ingress for Oslo Dec 22.1987. The text is in Norwegian and the topic is somewhat different, but the Moon is VOC in Capricorn in the ascendant in this chart and Oslo experienced record breaking amounts of humidity in the form of snow this month. http://www.astronor.com/cp87.htm http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed May 13, 2009 6:59 pm
by Eddy Johanes Kepler did studies on the weather but I'm not sure where he wrote down his findings. I believe in his 'Tertius Interveniens'. His experiences convinced him of the use of the (Bi)Quintiles and other minor aspects. Quote Thu May 14, 2009 6:04 pm
by Andrew Bevan I notice that Philip Graves has got the AA journals for sale. See under News & Notices! Articles on Meteorology in 1980 editions, 1982 and No. 1 of 1983! http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed May 20, 2009 4:46 pm
