by Ficina I've never bet online Yikkes! I use the phone. When I first started betting many years ago, there was no such thing as online betting. I guess you can either pick a bookie and register on their website or go to http://www.oddschecker.com/ where you get the choice of masses of bookies once you've registered. Good luck! 17 by Gem Ficina Thank you for answering my question and a piece of sensible advice. I`m still a long way off from getting initiated in betting. Still out of interest, to bet by phone as you did, do you have to be registered with a bookie first? It`d take a bit of courage to walk into a betting shop... Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:28 am
by Ficina You're very welcome, Gem. Yes, you do have to open a telephone account and there are different types. I expect all the bookies operate a similar system but personally I bet with Corals and I have a debit account. It's all very simple and straightforward and it's free! Here are the details from their website http://www.coral.co.uk/telebet.html I still sometimes go into betting shops. They are not the rather daunting places they used to be but are now much more light and open. In fact my local one is very friendly. People sit round the table chatting over their coffee and sandwiches Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:47 am
by Gem Thanks again. Your local one sounds nice Seeing that you live in Kent, I hope you didn`t get affected by the earthquake at the weekend. Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:58 am
by Ficina Fortunately I'm quite a long way away from where the earthquake happened so I didn't feel a thing Back to the footie, semi final second leg matches this week. Liverpool v Chelsea 1 May, 7.45pm BST Liverpool, England Asc 2,38 Scorpio AC Milan v Man Utd 2 May, 8.45pm CEDT Milan, Italy Asc 15,40 Scorpio Both charts very similar again. Although nothing is 100% certain, I've generally found with Moon in 1st the home team wins. In the Milan game I don't like the Moon squaring Saturn and opposing PoF, but it does go on to trine Mars (Milan). On the strength of this I've put a small bet on Milan and Liverpool to get to the final at odds of 6/1. They are the outsiders! Although I prefer to look at matches nearer the time I couldn't resist taking a peak at the chart for the final. Champions League Final 23 May, 9.45pm EEDT Athens, Greece Asc 17,48 Sagittarius I'm not sure how Jupiter on 1st cusp will work, but Mercury in 7th looks better so I think the underdogs will win. If it does turn out to be Milan v Liverpool, then Milan will probably be favourites so.....I've put a small bet on Liverpool to win at 9/2. Maybe I'm crazy but never mind Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 11:56 am
by Yikkes! Hi Folks. OK I'm going to do a conscious stream so trust you can follow it!!! But the skies have just darkened here Liverpool V Chelsea? I support/ follow Chelsea but only in a way that allows me to enjoy when they get a good kicking. Genolhac 18.11 30/Apr/07 So the Pudds are Libra and the Tarts Aries. A word beginning with a letter between E and G POF being applied by Mars (across cusp of 6th) A great start for The Tarts. Mars in Pisces in Triplicity (didn't have to look that up) Seperating NN, Uri. Must be good. I'd say 4 goals for Chelsea. Sorry I got soooooooooooooo excited I forgot to check for The Event. Mars applying square to Venus. Ohhh it's going to be a bit of a hard place. Venus just left it's term. Mars coming into Term and (The Pudd's) Face(s) Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Mars looks good. Now Mars cusping 6th and leaving Fifth. I'm not sure about this. Mars is bad news in 6th but does that mean bad news for Mars or everybody else? Also leaving 5th. I think over all good for Mars Yikkes !!!!! it's really thundering here. Last time that happened I was bribing a police man in the Ukraine. Sorry? did I say bribe I meant Inducement. Venus looks really a word beggining with a letter between R and T. I'd call it Void of Course but not sure if that is only for Receptions or also Aspects. Anyway it is leaving most aspects. Now although Venus doens't look good we have to consider the Moon. Old Ficina tells us that Moon in 1st is A Good Ooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnn!!! Let's put his experience aside for a minute and think thru the logic. Moon in 1st? Conjunct the Asc so that adds strength. Moon Trine Venus so supporting Venus and pretty tight orb ..... posting Last edited by Yikkes! on Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:15 pm, edited 1 time in total. Yikkes! Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 4:37 pm
by Yikkes! ...... Posting to prevent Thunder interuptions.... So Moon supporting Venus. Any reciprication? You scratch my back I'll tickle your tummy!!!! Can't see it. So before I look at the Fixed Stars, they are a bit like you meet a Pretty Girl and you think you might be advised to invest in some a word begining with a letter between I and K in the plural. Sorry I digress. Real Storm going here. Christ I must have upset Somebody really Important. but .... Ficina says Moon good in 1st. So my estimate is 2-3 2-4. Now where's the Slot Machine? ...... 23 by Yikkes! .... Sorry about these breaks but the power is going up and down and the line with it. Fixed Stars? Yup the line just went down again. Flooding!!!! If I never see any of you again then It's been niiiiiicccccceeeee but also I've never in my lengthy Astro Philosophy Career (2 months 3 days) see so many Fixed Stars involved. Asc Alchiba Moon Heze Mars POF Markab Venus Capella MC Canopus Dsc Alpheratz What does it all mean?????? I mean the Thunder not the Astro. Alchiba seems a bit negative if anything. Heze seems related to the Moon and is seemingly positive. Markub not great but a loose conjunction. No correction it is a tight junction so bad news for the Tarts. Canupous shows very well for the 'Pudds Yikkes!!!! Lightening with half a second gaps between thunder. Sorry I didn't mean to annoy anybody nor any Gods Dsc very good for the Tarts but abit loose. Lights are out here !!!!!! aaaaaaahhhhhhh. So as you'd expect in a game of this magnitude there is really too much to read. From reading the Stars I'd add a bit too The 'Pudds and take a bit more away from The Tarts, due to POF on tight junction with Markub. Just check that. Markub? Markub? Where are you? Maybe suggests lots of injuries for The Tarts. So I'm going for 1-2 or (2-2) Hamish. Last edited by Yikkes! on Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:17 pm, edited 1 time in total. Yikkes! Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:08 pm

by Yikkes! STOP PRESS!!! OK I've noticed something which makes me think again.. Utd will loose to AC Milan in a close match. (1-2) Liverpool will draw with Chelsea. (2-2) I'll try again tomorrow. These may represent the overall final results of the Ties. It's a bit "over the shop" but heh H. Yikkes! Quote Mon Apr 30, 2007 7:55 pm
by Gem Yikkes Thanks for your thorough readings. On the other hand Ficina's approach seems much simpler, compared to reading a Horary chart. Looking at tonight's and tomorrow night's event charts, I see that Mars(AC ruler) is better off than Venus(DC ruler) and whoever gets the AC will win(it'll be tough for both sides). Although the prospect of Liverpool beating Chelsea pleases me very much, I can't help hoping that Man U will somehow grab the ASC tomorrow. Quote Tue May 01, 2007 9:10 am
