Franz Marc (February 8, 1880 – March 4, 1916) was one of the principal painters and printmakers of the German Expressionist movement.
He was born in 1880, in Munich and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich starting in 1900. In 1903 and 1907 he spent time in Paris and discovered a strong affinity for the work of Vincent van Gogh. Marc developed an important friendship with the artist August Macke in 1910. In 1911 he formed the Der Blaue Reiter artist circle with Macke, Wassily Kandinsky, and other artists who decided to split off from the Neue Künstlervereinigung movement.
His mature works mostly depict animals, and are known for bright colouration. With Neptune rising in Taurus, his art depicts his unlimited imagination and inspiration. Most of his mature work portrays animals usually in natural settings (Taurus).
The Moon culminating in Capricorn (Detriment and Out of Sect) explains part of his destiny. After the National Socialists took power, they suppressed modern art. In 1936 and 1937, the Nazis condemned the late Marc as an entarteter Künstler (degenerate artist) and ordered approximately 130 of his works removed from exhibition in German museums. His work is now exhibited in many eminent galleries and museums around the world.

He was drafted to serve in the German Army at the beginning of World War I, and died two years later at the Battle of Verdun, March 16th, 1940

Does our chart survive us?

"In a letter published in Suddeutsche Zeitung, Le Monde and Corriere della Sera in the week of June 6th 2016, Dr Friedrich Untermalher explains that he found in early 2000, 38 drawings of Franz Marc that belonged to his father who worked in the psychiatric hospital where Marc was interned."

- In October 1998, several of Marc's paintings garnered record prices at Christie's art auction house in London, including Rote Rehe I (Red Deer I), which sold for $3.3 million.
At that time, he had a Jupiter return in Pisces in the 12th House conjunct the transiting South Node.
The 12th House being the 5th from the 8th (Joy of an inheritance)
It also rules the 8th and 9th House in Sagittarius. The 9th House being the 2nd of the 8th represents the goods from the dead. The value, benefits and profits made on an estate and more broadly, objects from archaeological excavations.

Our chart as a legacy may survive us in time.

Re: "Does our chart survive us?"

I would say that it certainly does, since we can often see, for instance, someone posthumously getting awards...birth of grandchildren in Grandma's chart, even though Grandma is long gone...death of a grandparent in an already-deceased granddaughter's chart... etc. (ad infinitum)

Thank you for your comment Atlantean,

Time in the spiritual world might be a cyclical rather than a linear concept.
I guess Franz Marc does not have to worry when he goes to Starbucks in Heaven to get his coffee!
Blessings!
