Russia, Ukraine, A Hermetic Electional Calculation.

Russia uses Hermetic Electional astrology ritual magic based on Parans, that don't mark the time, but the day at location.

There are 3 starts of the day being ancient Greek day start being previous sunset to date, modern midnight, and ancient Egyptian and Roman day start being sunrise.

They then put either Sirius (Isis) or Alnilam, Belt of Orion (Osiris) on one of the four Cardinal Points at location.
So for each star this gives twelve days that they can be conjunct a Cardininal point in a year of 365 days
You would think that that gives us 24 days as we are using 2 stars, however there are days when the two stars double up, so this means approx. 22 days.

It is highly likely Russia will use this method if they invade the Ukraine, so all we have to do is calculate the days when these stars are in position, but firstly we will look at the history of the region in the last 40 years, starting with the Soviet Coup Attempt of 1991, link below:-

This started on 19th August 1991 around Moscow, Jupiter was within a degree of the Sun when both were rising with Sirius at the location of Moscow and is very rare on actual date, it is the belief that Jupiter would expand the power of Sirius in this position and give good fortune to the coup.

You are touching something here Archi,
I believe everything is a cycle within a cycle.
As astrologers, we tend to look at cycles as independent and as Richard Tarnas pointed out in a recent interview, the signs are the least important in defining the nature of the cycle. It is more the angular or geometric relationship that defines what is going to happen.
The example you give with the Fixed Stars is a sound approach to better define the nature of the cycle.
I would add that if we look at larger cycles, for example Uranus/Pluto or even Jupiter/Saturn, keeping in mind where their cycles began, it provides additional clues to better understand what is going to happen.
In another post, I tried to understand (sometimes it sends me to larger holes) how the last MA/SA conjunction of March 2020 overlapped the JU/SA conjunction of December 2020. And MA/SA being about a 2 year cycle colored the socio-economic cycle of JU/SA as they fell on the same degree.

Now, how do you get that Russia uses Hermetic Electional astrology? I would be curious to see which astrologer is doing that.

Obvious i don't want to go too off-topic, but where i have dates for hermetic socret societies, you find the same type of alignments, which i will show in time, example below:-
This next date doesn't happen every year where modern midnight day marker was used for the start of the German Workers Party on 5th January 1919, where Jupiter and Sirius culminating at Due South although Jupiter is slightly out of one degree, but this doesn't happen again until 2002, as the orbit of Jupiter around the Sun takes 11.86 years.

It looks like they changed methods with invasion and used actual time today and the Projected Measure.

Early this morning they invaded, Putin gave a News Bulletin shortly before 6:00am:-

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "military operation" in Ukraine on Thursday and called on soldiers there to lay down their arms, defying Western outrage and global appeals not to launch a war.

Putin made a surprise statement on television to declare his intentions.

"I have made the decision of a military operation," he said shortly before 6:00am (0300 GMT) in Moscow, as he vowed retaliation against anyone who interfered.

He also called on the Ukraine military to lay down its arms.

We can think this was aired at 5:50 am.

By inaccurate projected measure, we find Sirius at 14* 23' Cancer and the Desc. Cardinal Point at 15*09' Cancer, so is conjunct by under 1 degree, astrologers will understand the projected fixed star measure.

Thank you for your detailed report, we now have a fuller picture, the Sirius and Alnilam alignments are the indication of perhaps electional astrology has taken place and would need further scrutiny, which indeed you have done so.

The Alma_Ata protocol was signed on 21st December 1991, but wasn't put into effect till December 30th....

A provisional agreement on the membership and conduct of Councils of Heads of State and Government was concluded between the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States on December 30, 1991.
