Horary Chart Analysis: To Move or Not to Move?

1
Hi guys!!!!!!!!! 8)

Please forgive me if I sound funny, it is still Mercury retrograde at the time of writing this and as a Gemini, I am under the influence tremendously. :lala

I have been having a trying time lately and I?ve been pondering moving on to greener pastures for a bit of time now. I finally decided to draw up a horary chart yesterday, 14 August 2005 at 8:58 pm in Antwerp, Belgium. I am using the Regiomontanus House System.

My question: Is it good for me to move to [a certain town]?

The answer: I am truly stumped! I started analyzing the chart, but can't really come to a definitive stance yet. I know I might've put on rose colored glasses too. Please help!!!!!!

Radical, Dude! :lala

There is enough indication to show that the chart is radical. First, the Moon is not VOC. The ruler of the chart is Saturn and in this chart, Saturn is conjunct my natal Ascendant.

Also, in the chart:

Mercury is conjunct my natal Jupiter
POF is conjunct my natal Venus
True Node is conjunct my natal Midheaven (4 degree orb)
Vertex is conjunct my natal True Node (4 degree orb)

Me, Myself & I: Saturn

My significator is the First House Ruler, Saturn.
My ruler is in its detriment in Leo, but within Leo?s Faces at 3 degrees.
My co-ruler is the Moon, which is within Sagittarius? Faces at 13 degrees. It is very nearly conjunct the MC in this chart.

My Current Home: Mercury

My current home is signified by the Fourth House Ruler, Mercury.
Mercury is weakened in its retrograde state.
In the chart, my primary significator, Saturn, is quite close to Mercury. Symbolically, this makes sense since I am currently living there.

My Intended Home: the Sun

The Seventh House Ruler, the Sun, signifies the place that I would like to move to. The Sun is strengthened by being in its own sign and it is conjunct the Descendant in this chart.

The Verdict, Your Honor

Saturn is applying towards a conjunction with both Mercury (current home) and the Sun (intended home) but it reaches Mercury first.

My co-ruler, the Moon, has just recently trined Mercury and will once again trine Mercury once it goes direct. However, the Moon is also applying to trine the Sun and it appears that before the Moon is able to trine Mercury, it will trine the Sun first.

So does this mean that I should move?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With Mercury being weakened, my current home does not appear to be able to offer much to me in the future. By contrast, my intended home, the Sun, is strengthened by being in its own sign and my primary ruler, Saturn, is within Leo?s Faces at 3 degrees in spite of being in its detriment. To me, the Sun seems more welcoming.

For good measure, I looked at the declinations. I found that the Sun (intended home) and Mercury (current home) are actually almost exactly parallel. Does this mean they are essentially similar in nature? True Node and Vertex are parallel. Jupiter is contraparallel to both the True Node and the Vertex. Hmmm? does this mean anything?

Arabic Parts

Well, at a crossroads, I decided to calculate some Arabic Parts to serve as potential tie-breakers. I asked myself what I would like to gain out of this move. I would like love, happiness, success, respect, and to feel welcome and at home. That?s all I really want out of life, to be honest.

I calculated the Arabic Part of Success for this chart and arrived at 17?56 Libra. The Sun is in a sextile to this part, but so is Mercury, so no tie-breaker here. Both Saturn and the Moon will also aspect this part.

I also calculated the Arabic Part of Luck and arrived at 18?55 Aries, but again no tie-breaker as both the Sun and Mercury are trine this part. But it seems the Sun has the upper hand here, as it is a bit closer.

Then, I calculated the Part of Accomplishment and got 27?44 Sagittarius. Well, does this do it? Both Saturn and the Moon will apply to this part, as will the Sun, my intended new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part of Life = Sagittarius 9?25, which will be aspected by Mercury

Part of Love = Pisces 9?19, which will be aspected by Mercury

Hmmm, so does this mean that my current home will offer life and love whereas my intended new home will offer accomplishment?

To Move or Not to Move?

Woohoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The thought of moving seems exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I totally skewing this reading with my rose colored glasses? Should I be cautious and calculate all the gloomy Arabic Parts as well?

Oh, no!!!!!!!!! I just noticed that the Sun is at 22 Leo and this is a malefic degree that signifies being one?s own worst enemy!!!!!!!!! :-cry

But Mercury isn?t that much better, being conjunct South Asellus, which indicates mass murder and horrors.

Ooooohhhh, what do I make of this?!

Please, it would really be appreciated if you guys could let me know what you think of this chart. Is it actually good for me to move?

Many thanks for helping me with this, guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lala I really appreciate this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love, love, love to you all

Hi befube,

I don't have time to look at this chart properly but I have a few comments.

Firstly, I wouldn't worry too much about the Arabic Parts unless they are particularly significant to your question and they are prominent in the chart. Often, less is more, and you will get the answer from the chart simply by looking at the main significators.
Saturn is applying towards a conjunction with both Mercury (current home) and the Sun (intended home) but it reaches Mercury first.
Faster planets apply to slower planets. Mercury and the Sun would apply to Saturn, not the other way around. Mercury is currently retrograde and is applying to a conjunction with Saturn, your significator. However, Mercury turns direct in a few hours (thankfully :) ) and will not perfect with Saturn, nor will it apply to the Moon.
The Moon is separating from a trine to Mercury and will trine the Sun after its sextile to Jupiter. Perhaps you have already emotionally moved on from your current home and are looking forward to a new home. It is interesting that the Moon is conjunct the MC. Is this a career move? If so, I would perhaps take into account Jupiter as ruler of the 10th house.
The Sun is strong in its own sign and on the cusp of the 7th house .
Did anything happen as Mercury applied to Saturn the first time? Often a retrograde Mercury indicates a need to go back and fix something that occured prior to the retrograde. It seems to me though, you have already made up your mind to move.

Good luck
Sue

Thanks, Sue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sue!!!!!!!!!!! :lala

Thanks so much for your reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really appreciate your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are right - in a way, I had made up my mind to move before drawing up the chart. I drew the horary to see whether I've made a good choice.

My move would be related to my career, but it also offers a fresh start in an exciting new city for me. I have just started looking for jobs in that city. I have found specialist jobs that will allow me to develop myself with greater focus, whereas I have been used to doing a little bit of everything in my current role, but never being exceptional at any particular role. This theme seems to be in keeping with the current Saturn in first house transit that has just started for me. I feel I need to become an expert at one thing that I am absolutely passionate about.

Taking a look at Jupiter as per your suggestion? as the tenth house ruler, Jupiter is placed in the seventh house of removals in the chart. The Moon, my co-ruler, will apply towards a sextile with Jupiter. So, does this suggest that I will be offered a job in the city I would like to move? The Moon then goes on to trine the Sun, significator of my intended new home, shortly thereafter. With both Jupiter and the Sun being placed in an angular house, this would suggest quick movement with the career prospect(s) and the move.

Something else I noticed was that the Vertex of the chart is also placed in the seventh house, suggesting a turning point. The True Node of this chart is also nearly conjunct my natal Midheaven.

Well, it seems to look good. My main concern after this is that the Sun, significator of my intended new home, is at 22 Leo, which is a malefic degree. The chart does indicate a move, but could this be a good move? The Sun is strong and conjunct the Descendant, but it is also conjunct the very scary ?One?s Own Worst Enemy? degree. (Sorry to digress, but Saturn just finished touring my twelfth house and it was conjunct my natal Mercury in the twelfth house. It was self-undoing all right! Just before this transit ended, I had a dream of cutting my own hair and unfortunately having to live with the highly unflattering consequences. lol. lol.)

On the other hand, is the POF considered to be placed in the fourth house in the chart as it is nearly conjunct the IC (about 1 degree orb)? Does this mean something? Should I explore this aspect a little bit more?

As for something that happened during the time that Mercury first applied to Saturn? about a week or two ago, there was a bit of a skirmish. I made a recommendation to the management and it was subsequently ignored. From my point of view, I proposed the beginning of a viable solution to a somewhat longstanding problem and it was totally disregarded. The reason I am here is because of my job and over the past six months, things have not been looking good as far as my career is concerned. I feel as if my career is beginning to stagnate. I clearly want to be able to do more here, but I feel there is a bit of a glass ceiling effect going on.

I have a feeling that what I do during the next six months will have a serious impact on my future. And I really want to make the right move!!!!!!!!!! I would appreciate any further guidance on this matter.

Many thanks again for your insight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lala

Mutual Reception Necessary for Success?

4
Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!! :?

Just doing a bit more analysis here. This post will run on like the Energizer Bunny and it has nearly got me pulling out my hair. :lala I am having trouble piecing the details together and decided to compare my current home and my intended home using Lilly?s Point System for Dignity and Debility. I am making a little bit of progress, but I now have a question that may seem silly? Forgive me, but is the Sun peregrine if it is in its own sign but not in its own terms or faces? The paperwork for the point comparison is detailed in Table B at the very bottom of the page.

Mutual Reception

Then, I decided to look for signs of mutual reception between my significators and my current and intended home to see which one is welcoming me with open arms or begging me to run the other direction. I am having trouble finding mutual reception. Is it because I do not fully understand the concept of mutual reception or because there really is no mutual reception? The paperwork for finding mutual reception is in Table A, which is a little further down.

Jupiter (career) receives the Moon (me)
The Moon applies towards Jupiter.
I get a job!!!!!!!!! :lala :lala

Translation of Light for Intended Home?

The Moon (me) applies towards the Sun (intended home)
But the Sun does not seem to be in a position to receive the Moon. Does this matter? I read somewhere that there must be mutual reception in order to have positive results.

In a desperate attempt, I am now looking for either translation or collection of light involving the Sun.

The Sun and Jupiter recently aspected each other in a sextile.
The Moon is now applying towards Jupiter and then the Sun.

Since Jupiter receives the Sun, is there translation of light? Could this save the day?

Collection of Light for Current Home?

Saturn (me) receives Mercury (current home)
Mercury applies towards Saturn, but the conjunction is not perfected because Mercury turns direct.

Moon (me) just recently sextiled Mercury (current home)
Moon applies towards Jupiter (career)
Jupiter collects the light of both the Moon and Mercury

My question: Is it good for me to move to [a certain town in order to pursue my new career direction]?

Answer?

I still don?t see a very clear-cut answer. It looks like I do get a job out of this. My co-ruler the Moon aspects my intended new home, but there is no reception by essential dignities, so I don?t know whether I can consider this a done deal. On the other hand, there is collection of light at my current home.

It would be greatly appreciated if you have any advice for me regarding this chart!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judgment?

5
Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I brought myself to take a stance regarding this question after all the flip flopping.

First, in order to live in the new town, I would have to have a job there.

This appears to be in order as the Moon (me) is conjunct the MC and will also sextile Jupiter, ruler of the tenth house.

Meanwhile, the Sun (new home) is strong in its own sign and conjunct the DC. After the Moon aspects Jupiter, it will trine the Sun. This shows a smooth transition, and with the Sun in an angular house, the movements will be quick.

With my current home, there is no aspect, but there is collection of light.

My theory is this: At the time that I get a new job offer, the situation with my current home will see an improvement. This will be simultaneous - a major turning point as the Moon also activates the Vertex at that point. As the Moon is moving towards a trine with the Sun, my decision will most likely be to move onto greener pastures - that is, the new home.

I would appreciate it if you guys have any comments regarding the validity of this judgment!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!
