This is a very fertile area for study which would help greatly to verify astrological principles. But I am severely handicapped in thoroughly understanding the research approach used in this study as I've never used secondary or tertiary progressions or any other kind of symbolic progression, and the only harmonic I've studied in depth is the 9th. For me this is mostly an advanced study for my next life! But I'm most happy to see this research done using the Krishnamurti ayanamsa and mean node.

May I ask, Cemal, how you decided on this ayanamsa and the mean node? These are both endlessly debated by astrologers. I really do think that this type of precise work is the future of astrological research. But of course we have to have very precise data for birth time and locale. And that is a research study in itself. (This is why I've been studying S.P. Khullar's methods which he claims can pinpoint a birth time to within seconds.)

With this work I wanted to show that the progressive lunar phases
is a very important tool in astrological prognosis.

When I learned vedic astrology and Krishnamurti school many years ago,
I read Richard Houck's book "The Astrology of Death".
He used tertiary progression intensively.
He also used an Ayanamsa that comes very close to Krishnamurti and differs only 3-4 seconds.

I also found that tertiary progressions are very meaningful.
But he used as a key a tropical day = a tropical month.
During my research I am convinced that a correct key
must be a sidereal day = a sidereal month.
The difference between both keys is very noticeable when using harmonics.

At that time I am also convinced by practical examples,
after having compared with other Ayanamsas like Lahiri, Raman,
Yukteswar, Fagan/Bradley, that Krishnamurti Ayanamsa
is the best Ayanamsa we have.
Since then I use Krishnamurti Ayanamsa.

I compared Mean and True Node in the examples and
convinced myself that the Mean Node positions are the right ones.
I prepared some examples last year and uploaded here.

It is unfortunate to see that most astrologers think that we know everything about astrology.

This link takes us to the text, but even clicking on the full screen icon keeps the page small. Is there a way to print these research pages which I would like to have in hard copy to further study? When I ask for a print preview, a new page comes up that has a PDF choice. But this page doesn't come up in the link itself. (The text pages of the study don't come up in print preview.)

Yes!! Now I have a printed copy of this study. This is the type of research on the nodes (here Rahu or the N node) I've been wanting for a long time. This is a study that every astrologer needs to know about. From the study:

Quote:
I am very sure that the node plays a big role in the marriage, therefore I use marriage events. Of course, the node also plays a big role in the other events,...

Any astrologer who has been reading the topic on Profections and Solar Returns here on the sidereal forum will note that the nodes were the key in Komilla's solar return chart that indicated her marriage. Actually as in Linchi's research, the north node (Rahu) in the 7th is the key, and not Ketu or the S Node.

I congratulate you on answering the Komillia question correctly.
