So let's say if a horse name is 'Jack Martin' then that is ruled by the moon? Since moon rules names? Moon also rules places.

Also with fancy names that is also ruled by the moon?

Well, pretty much every animal that somebody has a personal relationship with gets a name. And pretty much everything has a place too, right?

Frankly, I doubt that that kind of consideration would be of any help.

Vas,

Although there are names that have the Moon as natural ruler, ("Gabriel" for example), one generally has to consider the sign, house placement and aspects of the Moon for racing purposes.

Paper Lantern 11/1 (Gemini, 11th house)
16:40, March 5th 2017, Dublin, Ireland

Caged lightning 9/2 (Leo, separating from Jupiter, 12th)
16:00, March 31st 2015, Southwell, England

Obsidian 7/2 (Capricorn, 2nd)
20:10, May 9th 2015, Thirsk, England

Queens Pearl 2/1 (Leo)
15:25, July 18 2015, Newmarket, England

The key to successful interpretation of racing charts (indeed, any chart) is an understanding of rulerships. I'd recommend Rex Bill's and Lehman's rulership books (for modern and traditional, respectively) as a good place to start.

Mod Wasp mk2,

Thank you very much for this for your insights. I'll also check out the literature you have mentioned.
