Mars coming close to Earth - 31st July ? 1 by WooWoo I don't think we hear too much about this sort of thing in Astroland. Where do we find data about how close a planet is too Earth ? https://uk.yahoo.com/style/see-mars-clo ... 00620.html H Quote Tue Jul 24, 2018 9:00 pm
2 by Tanit3333 I am interested in astronomy and a lot of astronomy websites post monthly viewing updates, you just need to find a website you like. I follow space.com the most. The full moon lunar eclipse on the 27th will likely be an interesting view of Mars, since it will be conjunct the Moon (and easy for novices to find). Mars has been obvious and bright for many weeks now. Quote Tue Jul 24, 2018 9:42 pm
3 by james_m mars is always closest to the earth when it is in an opposition to sun... i don't know if that is true of the other planets, but i had heard this many years ago with regard to mars... Quote Tue Jul 24, 2018 10:20 pm
4 by WooWoo A slow r.Mars opposing the Sun, with the Sun at Home in his first decan of Leo. The Nodes around 6° Leo and Aquarius and have been pretty stationary there. Can anyone explain why they get stationary ? Do they exert a strong force ? I don't think so. H PS And now the Moon forming the Eclipse at 4°45' Aquarius. Quote Wed Jul 25, 2018 5:16 pm
maybe its just me 5 by Kwincunx One thing that I have noticed with Mars so close to earth is that everything has felt hotter; even cold weather has subtly felt like it had "heat"; I've at times worn one shirt only and I've never done that before. Quote Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:17 pm
